 Sau TO BE  Trước danh từ: beautiful girl, lovely
 Sau tính từ
 Đầu câu làm chủ ngữ.
 Đứng sau: a/an/the, this, that,
these, those
 Đứng sau tính từ sở hữu :
my, your, his, her, their…
 Đứng sau: many, a lot of/ lots
of , plenty of…
 The +(adj) N …of + (adj) N…

Dấu hiệu Thường có phần đuôi (hậu tố) như
nhận biết sau :
-tion: nation,education,instruction
-sion: question,
television ,impression,
passion……..
-ment: pavement, movement,

-y: beauty, democracy (nền dân
chủ), army…
-er/or : động từ+ er/or  danh

 Sau keep/make+ (o)+ adj…: Let’s
keep our school clean.
Thường có phần đuôi (hậu tố) như sau :
-ful: beautiful, careful, useful,peaceful…
-ive: active, attractive ,impressive
-able: comfortable, miserable…
-ous: dangerous, serious, humorous,
continuous, famous…
-cult: difficult…
-ish: selfish, childish…
-ed: bored, interested, excited…
-ing: interesting, embarrassing,
-y: danh từ + ‘y’  tính từ : daily,
monthly, friendly, healthy…
 -al: national, cultural…
ĐỘNG TỪ
 Thường đứng sau chủ ngữ:
cách(adverbs of manner): He plays volleyball everyday.
adj + ‘ly’  adv  Có thể đứng sau trạng từ chỉ
 Đứng sau động từ mức độ thường xuyên:
thường: She runs quickly. I usually get up early.
(S-V-A)
 Sau tân ngữ: He speaks
English fluently.
(S-V-O-A)
Đôi khi, trạng từ đứng đầu
câu hoặc trước động từ
nhằm nhấn mạnh ý câu
hoặc chủ ngữ.
* Đứng đầu :
Ex : Suddenly, the police
appeared and caught him.
* Đứng trước động từ :
Ex : She carefully avoided
their eye. ( Cô ấy cẩn thận
tránh ánh mắt của họ)
Thường có phần đuôi (hậu tố) :
-ize : organize, symphathize
-fy : identify, qualify
-en : strengthen, lengthen, lessen
-ate : celebrate, create, locate
 Một số danh từ luôn ở dạng số
nhiều (có -s):
- Trousers (quần dài)
- Jeans (quần jean)
- Shorts (quần soóc)
- Pyjamas (đồ ngủ)
- Glasses (kính đeo)...
Những danh từ sau tận cùng bằng
-s nhưng KHÔNG PHẢI số nhiều:
- Các môn học:
- Mathematics (toán)
- Physics (vật lý)
Trường hợp - Economics (kinh tế học)
ngoại lệ - Politics (chính trị học)
- Electronics (điện tử),...
- Các môn thể thao:
- Athletics (điền kinh)
- Gymnatics (thể dục dụng cụ),...
Một số từ đuôi -al nhưng là danh từ : Những trạng từ này
- Appraisal (sự đánh giá) không thêm ‘-ly’ nhưng
- Approval (sự chấp thuận) vẫn là trạng từ
- Disposal (sự loại bỏ) (Vừa là tính , vừa là trạng)
- Periodical (tạp chí xuất bản định kì) - fast
- Proposal (sự đề xuất) - hard
- Removal (việc dọn dẹp) - late
- Renewal (sự gia hạn, sự đổi mới) - fair
Một số từ đuôi -ive nhưng là danh từ : - cheap
- Alternative (sự thay thế, lựa chọn) - early
- Initiative (sáng kiến) - much
- Objective (mục tiêu) - little

Những từ có đuôi -s nhưng VỪA

là số ít hoặc số nhiều:
- Series (chuỗi sự vật, sự việc)
- Species (giống, loài)
- Means (phương tiện)...
