As you can see, I’m not a huge fan of
modern day musicals. I think last great
musical was Little Shop of Horrors
(whose creators went on to make Dis -
Little Mermaid, Beauty and the
Beast,and Aladdin, which I guess are
technically musicals). Modern musicals
are almost always about live stage per -

mitmentsis one of the best) but it’s not
like the great fantasy movie musicals of
the past. The few that have tried (that
I’ve seen) have all been too glossy with
all the dancing cut to pieces by editing. SUGGESTIONS
The one exception is Hedwig and the 1932 Love Me Tonight

Bowie should have given us. Of course,
