Local Regulations

For SEC:

Use the additional extension box.

Position the additional extension box on either side of the controller cabinet.

The PTDB3 is installed inside the MSB already.

4.2. Adding of Ferrite Bead on PTDB3 Power Cable

Applies to the Following PTDB3 Types

PTDB3 (ID No. 59905233)

PTDB3 Kit Basic (ID No. 59906439)
PTDB3 Kit Basic + Easylon (ID No. 59906440).

A ferrite bead is a passive electronic component that suppresses high frequency noise in electronic circuits.
With each PTDB3, a ferrite bead is delivered. The ferrite bead needs to be added ot the PTDB3 power cable.

1. Add the ferrite bead to the PTDB3 power cable with 2 turns as shown
in the image.

4.3. Connecting of Power

Connect the power cable to the connector 24 VDC (2).

Check:

Pin 1 is +24V.
Not more than 24V DC is connected.

Connect the power cable to the power source.

For installations with Schindler controllers with a GW connector: Connect the power cable to the controller.
For installations with other controllers:
If the controller provides sufficient supply voltage and an output voltage of 24 VDC, connect the power cable to the controller if possible.
If the supply voltage and/or output voltage of the controller are not as required, connect the power cable to the external power supply
device (ID No. 59902300).

For installations with additional LON devices, connect the power cable to the external power supply device (ID No. 431609).

4.4. Connecting of Ethernet

4.4.1. PTG2
Connect the Ethernet cable to one of the Ethernet connectors (1).

5. Commissioning on PTG Device

These steps are required on oneiD installations only.

The PTG is normally preconfigured when delivered.

EJ_41902030_18 TM PT 01 - PTG / PTDB

Page 19 of 54 Copyright © 2002 - 2019 Inventio AG. All Rights Reserved.
The PTG only needs to be configured on site if:
The PTG is delivered straight from the factory and is therefore not preconfigured.
The PTG configuration needs to be changed due to a new project.
The PTG is configured via oneiD.

5.1. Preparing of PTG for Commissioning

1. If the PTG needs to be reconfigured due to a new project, reset the PTG to the factory default settings.
2. If the PTG has been delivered straight from the factory, the PTG is ready for commissioning.

5.2. Preparing of SD/MMC Card

Normally, this is not necessary. The MMC/SD Card will be delivered with the Project on oneiD installations.

1. Upload the project file onto the SD/MMC card.

Folder on the SD/MMC card: x:\oneid.
Project file: project.xml.

5.3. Commissioning of Master PTG

Identify the PTG that should be the master PTG.

Only on this master PTG, insert the MMC/SD card (other PTGs cannot be masters).

1. Insert the SD/MMC card into the first PTG (with number 1).
2. Press RES for the PTG to restart.

After reboot, the LCD displays 1iD and 1 alternating.

1. With the menu wheel, select the corresponding PTG number (1 for first).
2. Press the menu wheel.

The LCD displays nEt.

After the network has been discovered, the LCD displays CFG.
At the same time, the DWN LED lights up, indicating that the PTG is downloading the configuration from the SD
card and is builing the database and configuration. This may take 1 ... 3 minutes.
When the configuration has been completed, the LCD displays 1 (ID number of the PTG).

EJ_41902030_18 TM PT 01 - PTG / PTDB

Page 20 of 54 Copyright © 2002 - 2019 Inventio AG. All Rights Reserved
1. Remove the SD/MMC card from the PTG.

5.4. Commissioning of Remaining PTGs

When the commissioning of the master PTG has been completed, the remaining PTGs can be configured.

1. With the menu wheel, select the corresponding oneiD number

(2 for the second PTG, 3 for the third PTG, etc.).
2. Press the dial wheel to enter.

The LCD displays nEt, then CFG.

After completion of the process, the LCD displays the PTG number.

1. Repeat the procedure for each individual PTG to be configured.

Configure one PTG after the other.

The PTGs can be configured in any sequence (for example 2, 4, 3 or 2, 3, 4, etc.).

Do not enter the oneiD on multiple PTGs, as errors may occur during the configuration.

6. Commissioning in Visual Configuration

These steps are not required on oneiD installations.

The visual configuration gives an overview about the installed PORT Technology modules in a graphical manner and allows to configure various
parameters for the devices.

If no user configuration window has been created yet:

The visual configuration is not available and the Visual Configuration button is disabled.

1. Click Visual Configuration.

The elevator arrangement is displayed, showing the placement of each component.
