4. Installation Procedure
Check the distance between the PTG an other devices is >= 10 mm to prevent overheating of the PTG.
1. Fasten the PTG (2) to the rear panel of the controller cabinet (1) with a DIN rail TS35 (3).
or
Fasten the PTG (2) to the side panel of the controller cabinet with the fastening plate (4).
2. Install the external power supply device (if required).
Local Regulations
For SEC:
A ferrite bead is a passive electronic component that suppresses high frequency noise in electronic circuits.
With each PTDB3, a ferrite bead is delivered. The ferrite bead needs to be added ot the PTDB3 power cable.
Check:
Pin 1 is +24V.
Not more than 24V DC is connected.
For installations with Schindler controllers with a GW connector: Connect the power cable to the controller.
For installations with other controllers:
If the controller provides sufficient supply voltage and an output voltage of 24 VDC, connect the power cable to the controller if possible.
If the supply voltage and/or output voltage of the controller are not as required, connect the power cable to the external power supply
device (ID No. 59902300).
For installations with additional LON devices, connect the power cable to the external power supply device (ID No. 431609).
4.4.1. PTG2
Connect the Ethernet cable to one of the Ethernet connectors (1).
On PTDB3, use:
4.4.2. PTDB3
Connect the Ethernet cable to ETH1 of the Ethernet connectors (1).

For software update, refer to section Updating of Firmware on Control using a USB Mass Storage Device.
Restrictions
The control in combination with PORT Technology only supports two doors.
1. If the PTG needs to be reconfigured due to a new project, reset the PTG to the factory default settings.
2. If the PTG has been delivered straight from the factory, the PTG is ready for commissioning.
Normally, this is not necessary. The MMC/SD Card will be delivered with the Project on oneiD installations.
1. Insert the SD/MMC card into the first PTG (with number 1).
2. Press RES for the PTG to restart.
1. With the menu wheel, select the corresponding PTG number (1 for first).
2. Press the menu wheel.
After the network has been discovered, the LCD displays CFG.
At the same time, the DWN LED lights up, indicating that the PTG is downloading the configuration from the SD
card and is builing the database and configuration. This may take 1 ... 3 minutes.
When the configuration has been completed, the LCD displays 1 (ID number of the PTG).
After completion of the process, the LCD displays the PTG number.
Do not enter the oneiD on multiple PTGs, as errors may occur during the configuration.
The visual configuration gives an overview about the installed PORT Technology modules in a graphical manner and allows to configure various
parameters for the devices.
The visual configuration is not available and the Visual Configuration button is disabled.

To see the details of a listed device/task, double-click the required TID.
To see all devices, including the tasks which cannot be configured (no icon in the Visual Configuration overview):
1. Right-click the field below the list.
2. Click Show all devices.
4. Clîck OK.

er On the left hand side and at the bottom, the X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) axis are displayed. The numbers identify the TID, each
dot (number) represents one meter.
Before configuring the installation, check the "0" point of origin is somewhere located on a building corner because negative
numbers are NOT possible.
As soon as you double click a device/task, the configuration window of the corresponding device/task opens.

2. Set the IP of the device temporarily under Configure Device
3. Make sure you have a UDP 9999 started
4. Find the device in the Visual Config and
a. set the IP address permanently
b. set the UDP according the group
6.2.1. General
Parameter Description
SID-Number Unique number, consecutively numbered (1 ... 254), reflecting the Jobmanager (elevator) number
If you change the SID number, and the Door/Drive type is DC protocol, this warning is shown.
This is because the SID number is part of the security certificate. If you change the SID number, the security certificate changes, too.
Re-approve the security certificate on the control. For details, refer to the releated control type in the document PTE - Underlayer.
Use ptg-GnLn where n is the group resp. lift number within the group.
Example:
ptg-G1L3
ptg-G3L1
6.2.1.3. Position
