2.1.1. History
The Vietnam International Trade Fair – VIETNAM EXPO is an annual event held in
Vietnam with the longest history (since 1991) chaired by the Ministry of Industry and
Trade of Vietnam. With 30 years of history, Vietnam Expo has established /ɪˈstæb.lɪʃt/
itself as a prestigious brand where Vietnamese enterprises participate /pɑːrˈtɪs.ə.peɪt/
in advertising /ˈæd.vɚ.taɪ.zɪŋ/ and introduce their products, which global trade choose
as a destination for business and investment startups in the Vietnamese market.
Every year, VIETNAM EXPO attracts the interest and /pɑːrˌtɪs.əˈpeɪ.ʃən/ of trade
organizations, domestic and foreign business communities from 40 countries and
territories around the world
2.1.2. Time and date, location
In 2023, the 32nd Vietnam Expo will be held from April /ˈeɪ.prəl/ 5th to 8th at the
Hanoi International Center for Exhibition /ˌek.səˈbɪʃ.ən/ (ICE), 91 Tran Hung Dao
Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City.
2.1.3. Exhibit /ɪɡˈzɪb.ɪt/ categories /ˈkæt̬ .ə.ɡri/
The event covers a variety /vəˈraɪ.ə.t̬ i/ of industries divided into 4 exhibit categories
as follows:
The first one is the International Pavilion /pəˈvɪl.jən/, which displays country-
specific key products and services. Some outstanding pavilions /pəˈvɪl.jən/, are the
Korea Pavilion, Poland Pavilion, China Pavilion, and Rusia Pavilion, which all bring
their typical products of each country.
The second one is the Vietnam value and export pavilions. The section displays
products and services from enterprises that received Vietnam Value awards & from
key export industries in Vietnam. Key products are footwear, F&B, beauty and
healthcare, consumer goods, …
Another category is machinery and supporting industries. They are industrial
machinery & equipment, construction machinery, chemical products, electric and
electronic products, computer & telecommunications, home appliances, hand tools &
hardware products.
The last is digital technology and e-commerce products such as services; E-
commerce; information technology; digital technology applications and innovation.
