Working Principle
CNC cutting machine is a highly automated electromechanical integration equipment,
which uses digital program to drive machine body moving, and carries different kinds of
tools to cut the materials within the movement.
CNC cutting system is in accordance with the prepared programs, automatically
processing the workpiece. We write process route, process parameters, tool trajectories
and displacement, as well as auxiliary functions according to a standardized format into a
program, then transfer this program through the hard disk, network into CNC equipment,
thus commanding machine to work.
CNC cutting equipment is working in accordance with NC program automatically,
portable and semi-automatic cutting equipment need people to operate, we only need to
change programs then we can achieve the objective of processing different parts.
Therefore, CNC cutting equipment especially suitable for processing small batches and
complex shapes of parts required high precision.

 Cutting method and principle
Flame cutting is oxygen cutting in which the appropriate part of
the material to be cut is raised to ignition temperature by an oxy-
fuel gas flame. Also known as oxy-fuel cutting, the process is
used for separating and shaping steel components. It is carried
out using a torch through which oxygen and a fuel gas
(acetylene, propane or mains gas) are passed. An outer ring of
jets in the torch nozzle are used to preheat the surface of the
steel. A separate oxygen stream is directed from a central jet on
to the area to be cut. Rapid oxidation of the steel takes place
and material is removed by the pressure of the gases.

 Application of range and usage

Normally, the flame cutting is recommended to cut more than 5mm carbon steel, because this kind of
steel plate has small thermal deformation. Stainless steel and nonferrous metals cannot be used flame
cutting, Stainless steel on heated surface oxidized high density layer prevents thermal down, thus
affecting the plate fuse; Strong ability to non-ferrous metals such as copper and aluminum heat sink,
resulting in cutting surface heat is quickly lost, also affects the plates fusing.
Normal cutting can be divided into 5-100mm and 5-300mm, special specification can be customized.

Dry cutting fume processing can choose BDLT series thermal cutting fume purification
environmental equipment which produced by our company as optional.

Cutting under water is a good solution to remove the dust. It not only can remove dust, but also
can greatly reduce the noise and pollution of arc. Meanwhile, cutting deformation is small. But
by this way, it also has the problem for cutting power loss, easy rust for cutting part and polluted
water dealing difficulties. Therefore, users should choose according to their specific situation.

Plasma Cutting
 Cutting method and principle
Plasma cutting is a melting process in which a jet of ionized gas at
high temperature is used to melt and expel material from the cut.
During the process, an electric arc is struck between an electrode
and the workpiece. The electrode is recessed in a water- or air-
cooled gas nozzle which constricts the arc causing the narrow,
high temperature, high velocity plasma jet to form.

 Application of range and usage

Plasma can be used to cut a very wide range of electrically
conductive alloys including carbon steel, stainless steels, cast iron,
aluminum and other nonferrous metals, etc. In practice, carbon
steel’s piercing cutting thickness is up to 50mm, stainless steel is
75mm, aluminum is 40mm. If the plasma cutting is started from
the edge of workpiece, the maximum cutting thickness will be up
to piercing cutting thickness twice times.

Jacking Device
The jacking devices of cutting torch of BODA
machines are better than any other competitors.
The jacking device can use DC gear motor and
common leading screw, also can use AC servo
motor and friction-ball leading screw. The electric
motor directly transmit the leading screw then
lead the cutting torch running up or down. The
running linearity is key parts of cutting precision,
controlled by two cylindrical beeline guiding-track.
