Objective:

To describe facility for OMC side stream R1 and R3 distillation trial at N46.

A. Brief Description of Current facility @ M3 :

 R1 and R3 is collected in drums during crude OMC distillation at M3.

 R1 and R3 is distilled in TFE after fresh crude OMC distillation lot.

 R1 and R3 is distilled in both TFE as per process requirement.

B. Brief Description of proposed facility @ N46 :

 OMC distillation will be carried out in Column-2.

 In this column Sulzer packing - BX is used. This packing will give

minimum pressure drop.

 SSR-I will be used as Feed tank. Feed will be introduces above

Bed-3. R22 will be collected from Bed-1 bottom.

 R21 will be collected in SST-II

 R22 will be collected in SST-IV. After process temp decrease, it will

be filled in drums.

 Till desired R22 purity, R22 stream will be recycled to feed tank
SST1

 R23 will be transferred in SSR-V.

 Collected material in SSR-V will be batch distilled. R31 stream will

be recycled to SST-1. R33 will be collected in drums.

 Basis :- Feed rate - 150 kg/hr

Trial run time - 24 hr
OMC quantity for trial - 5 MT

C. Changes required for Trial :-

 SS cartridge filter to be install in feed pump discharge line.

 Feed line is to be modify and divert from column-1 to Column-2

  Currently in column-2 feed is introduced at above Bed-2. We have to
modify line and feed to be introduce above Bed-3

 R21 transfer line to be modify to collect in SST-2

 R23 transfer line to be modify to collect in SSR-V

D. PFD : Proposed facility for Trial
