Treasure Island

Robert Louis Stevenson


He was born the 13th of
November in 1850 in
Scotland and died the 3rd of
December in the year 1894 in
Samoa, probably of a cerebral
haemorrhage.
He was a Scottish novelist,
poet, essayist, and travel
writer. His most famous
works are Treasure Island,
Kidnapped, and Strange Case
of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
First, he had a hard life and he was recognised
as a writer of the second class. In this time he
usually wrote children´s literature and horror
stories.
After that, many famous authors admired his
works and he became famous.
Then, his works have translated to many
languages and have became famous around the
world.
Summary of the book
The book is about a boy called Jim
Hawkins, his parents had an inn
named The Admiral Benbow. And
one day a man arrived to his inn
and he was carrying his big sea
chest. After that the man died and
the boy decided to find the sea
chest. When Jim found it, he
opened the box and inside there
was a treasure map. Then, Jim
decided to go on a treasure hunt
with the help of the gentleman
called Trelawney and with the
Doctor Livesey. .
They got a ship called “La Hispaniola” and a very bad crew. One
day, on their way to the island Jim fell into a barrel of apples
and he heard that some sailors thought to kill him and everyone
that against Jonh Long Silver. Before reached the island Jim
escaped and met an old sailor who knew Flint. That night Jim,
Doctor Livesey, Captain Smollet and other sailors were
captured by the bad crew. Unfortunatly many men were killed
but the next day Jim and Ben were rescued by good sailors
and returned to England. Finally Ben bought a wooden house
near Jim´s inn and sometimes after he went to the churh, he
came to The Admiral Benbow for a drink
