Topic 1_Hobbies.

What would you do to relax?

• I usually like chilling in my room and reading. It’s a great way to de-stress at the end of the day. In
addition, I also love going out for long walks when the weather is nice.

Do you think doing sports is a good way to relax?

• Doing sports is a great way to relax, in my view. Because it helps me reduce stress after studying,
maintain good health, and lose weight.

Do you think vacation is a good time for you to relax?

• I think vacations are an excellent opportunity to relax. On my vacation, I frequently travel with my
family. We can choose to sit and chat, eat, or engage in entertainment activities together.
Do you think students need more relaxing time?

• I think students definitely need more time to relax. Nowadays, they put so much pressure on
themselves to do well. It’s beneficial for them to be dedicated to their studies, but they also need to
take breaks for their mental health’s sake.

Describe a hobby you enjoy

A hobby that I have been passionate about for a long time is reading book. I developed this interest
about 2 year ago. I make it a point to read almost everyday, dedicating at least 30 minutes to this
activity.

Reading book offers numerous benefits. It is an excellent way to acquire knowledge and learn about
various. Moreover, regular reading has significantly improve my vocabulary. In turn, has enhanced my
communication skills, enabling me to express my self more effectively both in writing and speaking.

I enjoy reading books because they broaden my horizons and expose me to diverse perspectives.
Though books, I can explore different cultures, time periods and ideas, explaining my understanding of
the world.

Topic 2_Youth

What did you like to do the most when you were in primary school?

• When I was in primary school, I remember playing skip rope with my friends and having a lot of fun.
It’s a long time ago and my memory about this period is a bit blurry.

How did you go to your primary school?

• Every morning, my dad used to take me to school on her motorbike before going to work. In every
evening, my mom also came and picked me up from school.
How do you like your primary school?

• Although I don’t have much recollection about my primary school, I can still recall the image of the
gigantic red flamboyant tree in the middle of the schoolyard. In the summer, its flowers blossomed and
the whole tree was bright red. It was really beautiful

What did you do in your leisure time in your primary school?

• Apart from playing with my friends, I also spent a lot of time in the cafeteria. My mum used to give me
10000 VND each morning and I could use the cash to buu some cake.

Describe a happy childhood memory.

When I think back on my childhood, one experience in particular stand out as a happy memory. I want
to share such an interesting memory from childhood. I remember that was my 12th birthday.

It was a party attended by all my family member and my friend. Everything was beautifully decorated at
the party, many of favourite dishes were also prepare. All people present there song happy to me and
gave me their best wishes. Although I were given a lot of gifts that day, my parents piano remains the
one that I still find most suprising and endearing. It still appears to be my best friend.

This is the most joyful and unforgettable memory I have since. It’s a chance for everyone to interact,
share and have fun together and it also a turning point in my life.

What kind of trees do people usually plant in your country? How about your hometown?

• In my country, there are a lot of trees planted by people and they are almost everywhere. In my
hometown, most people plant mango trees, banana trees, and longan trees. Most people plant a little
bit of each tree.

Have you ever planted trees?

• I have planted trees before. I’ve taken part in tree planting initiatives organized by environmental
groups and schools. This is a fulfilling experience to see these trees making a positive impact on the
environment.

What kinds of trees do you plant?

• I really like growing plants, especially flowers. I frequently plant ten-o’clock flowers, sunflowers, and
other flowers. Additionally, I plant lemon trees to provide my family with food when they need it.

Do you like planting trees? Why?

• I love to plant. By planting trees, I am able to have green space and fresh air in my house. In addition,
flowers help make my house look more beautiful and fragrant.
Describe a place you enjoy visiting.

Today I’m going to talk about Phu Yen which is an interesting destination in my country. It is located in
the centre of Vietnam. I traveled to this place with my friend last summer vacation. Phu Yen is very
famous for its amazing beaches and many other peaceful tourist attractions.

We spend 1 days here swiming and playing on the beach, in addition, we also tried some water sports
here such as snorkeling. It helped us see many beautiful fish and the coral reefs. And the food here is
not very expensive, so we ate a lot of local seafood.
Since I first saw it, it has undergone a lot of improvement and now has more new tourist attractions.
There are numerous scenic sites like Gánh Đá Dĩa, Bãi Xép, Vũng Rô bay...
There are several reasons why I love this place. Firstly it is so peaceful and I adored the beach here so
much. It helped me feel relaxed and relieve stress after a long time study.
Topic 4_Culture
Do you think museums are important?
• I believe museums are incredibly important for people all over the country. Museums are invaluable
repositories of our history, traditions, and art. In addition, the museum offers opportunities to learn,
learn more about culture and better understand rich heritage for foreign visitors and domestic people.

Are there many museums in your hometown?

• In my hometown, we don’t have many museums, but there is one extremely famous, which is the
Dong Thap provincial museums. It’s place worth visiting, visitors will learn a lot about a culture and
history of the Dong Thap people.

Do you often visit a museum?

• Although I rarely visit museums, I find them to be both educational and inspiring. The past is opened
up to me by them, allowing me to understand the sacrifices and contributions made by my ancestors.

When was the last time you visited a museum?

• The last time I visited the museum was during Tet last year. I wanted to come and express my
gratitude to those who satisfied independence today.

Describe a local festival that you enjoy.

Let me tell you about an amazing festival in my country called Tet. Tet is the Vietnamese New Year, and
it’s one of the most significant and vibrant celebrations in Vietnam.

Tet usually takes place in late January or early February, following the lunar calendar. The festival lasts
for several days, and it’s celebrated by Vietnamese people all around the world.

During Tet, streets and houses are beautifully decorated with colorful flowers, ornaments, and
traditional symbols. One of the highlights of Tet is the traditional food. These dishes have symbolic
meanings and are believed to bring good luck and blessings for the upcoming year. Another important
aspect of Tet is visiting relatives and friends. It’s a time for reuniting with family.

For me, I absolutely love Tet. It’s a time of happiness, gratitude, and hope for the future. The traditions
and customs associated with Tết bring a sense of cultural pride and unity among Vietnamese people.
Topic 5_On the move
Do you like to travel by car?
• I like travelling by car. I think it is one of the most comfortable means of transport. It is fast,
convenient and safe. We can use it in any weather for long and short distances.
When do you travel by car?

•My trips are mostly by car because of its convenience and speed. Traveling by car will be a comfortable
experience regardless of the weather
Where is the farthest place you have traveled to by car?
• The farthest place I have traveled to by car is probably Phu Yen. It took us about 12 hour to get there,
and we had many opportunities to experience the breathtaking on the way and even pulled over several
times to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and take photos.
Do you like to sit in the front or back when traveling by car?
• I like to sit in the front seat of my car because I see a broad view of the outside through the windshield
and window glasses. It is more enjoyable to travel by sitting in the front seat of the car.
Describe a memorable holiday.
Vietnam where is my country, many people believe that Tet is the most significant holiday. For me, it is
the time for the family reunion and relaxing after a long year.
On Tet day, the streets are filled with excitement. My mother and I went to the Tet market to buy
flowers to display for Tet and some new clothes for family members.
We spent around 2-3 days cleaning and decorating the house with apricot flowers and bouquets. I dress
in my favorite lucky colors, such as red and yellow, on the first day of Lunar New year. After that, I went
to my relatives residence and wished them good health.
The holidays seem to bring my family closer to me. I look forward to Tet every year because it gives me
the chance to spend time with my family.

Where did you go for your last holiday?
• Well, last summer my family and I went for a holiday in Phu Yen which is an interesting destination in
my country. It is located in the centre of Vietnam. Phu Yen is very famous for its amazing beaches and
many other peaceful tourist attractions.

Do you like holidays? Why?

• I think I do love holiday time. Vacations help me experience new exciting things and have more time
to travel with my family, to places I’ve always looked forward to, to experience new cuisines, new
cultures, and expand my horizons.
Which public holiday do you like best?
• The holidays are always my favorite time of year because of their ambiance and the smiles on people’s
faces. I am inspired by the love that people show me wherever I go.
What do you do on holidays?
• Tet holiday or Vietnamese Lunar New year is one of my favorite holidays so far. It’s the best time of
the year, as we can take a whole week off work, and reunite as a family. We decorate everything up all
nice and pretty, which puts everybody in a good mood.
Describe a special place in your hometown/village you like best.
Phu Yen which is an interesting destination in my country. It is located in the centre of Vietnam. I
traveled to this place with my friend last summer vacation. Phu Yen is very famous for its amazing
beaches and many other peaceful tourist attractions.
Around 2-3 times a year, we make it a habit to go there. Here, we spent a day swimming and playing on
the beach.In particular, the food here is very cheap and delicious. Many local seafood are very fresh..
We have a great affection for the locals here, they are friendly and kind.

I love this places because it helped me feel relaxed and relieve stress after a long time study.
