BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Regean Bacatio Gardose

She was born on the year of the dragon, December 20,


2000 under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius. Her friends and
relatives called her “Gean” or “Pagean”. She is the eldest
among 3 siblings namely: Jay-ann and Rogie Anston. She is a
proud daughter of Mr. Bengie Gerapusco Gardose and Rosa
Bacatio Gardose who are residing at Candelaria Tapaz, Capiz.
Regean is simple, kind and generous to her friends and
people who are closed to her.

She took her Elementary Education at Candelaria


Elementary School, Candelaria Tapaz, Capiz. During her
elementary days she was active in different clubs and
events. She enrolled her Junior High School and Senior high
School at Candelaria National High School, Candelaria Tapaz,
Capiz. During Senior High School she took General Academic
Strand and Graduated with Honors.

She continued her Tertiary Level at Capiz State


University, Tapaz Satellite College and took Bachelor of
Elementary education major in General Education. Not her
first choice of career but she believes that “Education is a
ladder to success and prosperity in life”. It breaks free
the soul of an individual from the chains of poverty and
illiteracy. With all of those challenges and hardships, she
still has the courage to continued her studies for the
people who believed in her

Jam Shendie Gabrillo Gequilasao

"Education is the only wealth I can be proud of" having this


quote in mind, Jam conquered everything. She was born on
January 26, 2001, at Mawang Candelaria Tapaz Capiz. She is
the youngest and the only daughter of Siony Gabrillo
Gequilasao and Jose Eddie Gapi Gequilasao. At young age,
death has taken his father leaving only her mother to take
good care of her, together with her older brother.

Despite the difficulty in financial aspects she still


continued her studies, she was enrolled at Mawang Elementary
School and graduated on the year 2013. She was a consistent
most behave pupil from Grade 1 until Grade 6. She continued

her high school at San Nicolas National High School and
graduated With Honors in the year 2019. Because of the fact
that they are fall short in some aspects, but has an
overflowing desire and determination to rise from the slums
of life, she decided to take Bachelor of Elementary
Education Major in General Education and graduated with
Academic Distinction Award in the year 2023.

She loves reading Wattpad stories, watching K-Drama's,


idolized numerous Korean idols and love to write poems and
stories. He maybe boring for some, but that characteristic
is what she truly is, and that's her way to appreciate and
love life.

With the support of her parents, friends, family and those


who surrounds her, she happily rips the fruit of her
hardships. And with God on the center of her life she still
hopes to keep thriving and be successful in her chosen
field.

Crislyn Galigao Ortizano

Ambitious, cheerful and strong lady filled with love and


confidence named Crislyn Galigao Ortizano was born on
September 03, 2000 at Manduriao, Iloilo City. Her friends
and relatives called her "Gang² ". She is a proud daughter
of Mr. Cresente Ortizano and Mrs. Jocelyn Ortizano and a
sister of Cris Joy Ortizano who are happily residing at
Taslan, Tapaz, Capiz.

She took her Elementary Education at Taslan Elementary


School, Taslan, Tapaz, Capiz. During her elementary days she
was elected as officer in different clubs. She finished her
elementary education in 2013 as with honors.

She continued her Secondary Education at Candelaria National


High School, Candelaria Tapaz, Capiz. During her high school
days she was elected as officer in different clubs and she
was a consistent honor student in her high school days. In
year 2017, she won as Champion in Single A Badminton Women
in Capiz Division Meet. She finished her Junior and Senior
High School as with honors.

She pursued her Tertiary Education at Capiz State University


Tapaz Satellite College, San Julian Tapaz Capiz taking up

Bachelor of Elementary education. In July 2023, she reaped
the fruit of her hardships and she believes that she will
become a professional licensed teacher in God's perfect
time.

The study was conducted at the Capiz State University

Tapaz Satellite College during the school year 2022-2023 to

ascertain the disaster awareness, readiness and resiliency

of the freshmen students as these relate to their age, sex

and course.

Respondents of the study are the 160 freshmen students,

who are officially enrolled, both in the Agriculture and

Education Department.

A questionnaire was used to gather data on their

personal and profession-related characteristics such as age,

sex, and course. Standardized and modified instrument of

Tuladhar`s Disaster Awareness, Readiness and Resiliency

(2015) were utilized.

Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics

such as frequency count, mean, percentage and standard

deviation, and inferential statistics which is t-test for

independent samples and Level of significance was set at

0.05 alpha.
