ABSTRACT
This study presents the development and evaluation of an innovative anti-aging gel formulation enriched with green tea extract, hyaluronic
acid, retinol, and alpha tocopherol acetate. Each ingredient was carefully selected for its unique anti-aging properties: green tea extract acts as a
potent antioxidant, hyaluronic acid provides intense hydration and plumping effects, retinol stimulates collagen production and accelerates
skin cell turnover, and alpha tocopherol acetate offers additional antioxidant benefits and skin nourishment. The synergistic combination of
these ingredients in the gel formulation aims to target multiple signs of aging, including fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity, while
promoting overall skin health and vitality. In vitro and in vivo studies demonstrate the efficacy and safety of the anti-aging gel, indicating its
potential as a promising solution for individuals seeking effective anti-aging skincare products.
INTRODUCTION
What is skin aging ?

Skin aging refers to the natural process

where the skin undergoes changes over
time, resulting in visible signs such as
wrinkles, fine lines, sagging, and loss of
elasticity. It's influenced by both intrinsic
factors like genetics and extrinsic factors
like sun exposure, smoking, and lifestyle
choices. Over time, collagen and elastin
production decreases, leading to these
visible signs of aging.
CAMELLIA SINENSIS
(Green TEA)

Green tea is a type of tea made from the

leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant that
have undergone minimal oxidation during
processing. It is rich in antioxidants,
polyphenols, and catechins, which offer
numerous health benefits. Its anti-
inflammatory and anti-aging properties
help to rejuvenate the skin and reduce the
appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
PUNICA GRANATUM
(pomegranate)

Pomegranate is a fruit that grows on a

deciduous shrub or small tree called
Punica granatum. It is known for its
distinctive round shape, leathery red or
yellow skin, and juicy, edible seeds (called
arils) surrounded by a pulpy membrane.
Rich in vitamins and minerals, promotes
collagen production and helps to maintain
skin elasticity for a youthful complexion.
Synergistic benefits
Green tea extract and pomegranate
peel synergistically provide antioxidant
protection, reduce inflammation,
promote collagen production, hydrate
the skin, brighten complexion, and
offer mild sun protection, enhancing
overall skin health and vitality.
OBJECTIVES
Assess the effectiveness of green tea-based antiaging gel
in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Investigate the ability of the gel to improve skin elasticity
and firmness through clinical measurements and
participant feedback.
Evaluate the potential antioxidant properties of the gel in
protecting skin cells from oxidative stress induced by UV
radiation.
Examine the impact of green tea extract on collagen
production and maintenance within the skin’s
extracellular matrix.
