INSTRUCTIONS TO THE STUDENTS

1. This register is a record of assessment to be maintained by every batch, undertaking the


project work.

2. This is an important document and the student should make entries in the relevant columns
and then get the initials from the concerned Guides. This will ensures the progress of the students
project work.

3. At the time of certification this record should be submitted by the student to the HOD.

4. The Guides are requested to verify the nature of work carried out and attest the same then and
there. At the start of each review, the summary of project report has to be submitted to HOD
through the Guides and Project Coordinator.

5. The project work for B.Tech. consists of Phase – I and Phase – II. Phase – I is to be under
taken during VII semester and Phase – II, which is a continuation of Phase – I is to be undertaken
during VIII semester.
6. The candidate interested in doing the industrial projects must get prior permission from
the HOD/ Principal , failing which the work will not be approved.

7. A candidate may, however, in certain cases, be permitted to work on projects in an


Industrial/Research Organization, on the recommendations of the Head of Department. In such
cases, the Project work shall be jointly supervised by a guides of the department and an expert-as
a joint supervisor from the organization and the student shall be instructed to meet the guide
periodically and to attend the review committee meetings for evaluating the progress.

8. The deadline for submission of Final Project ( Phase-I & II) Report and Hardware will
be informed based on the university circular.

9. If a candidate fails to submit the project report and hardware on or before the specified
deadline, he/she is deemed to have failed in the Project Work and shall re-enroll for the
same in a subsequent semester.

10. Every candidate doing B.Tech shall send a paper / patent for publication in a journal or
a conference. An acknowledgement from the guide for having communicated to the
journal or conference shall be attached to the report of the project work.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWS

1.Submission of abstract with the signature of guide is must. Abstract should be submitted
two days before the commencement of reviews. No of copies depends on review members.

2.Dress code should be followed strictly (Id card, shoes with formal dress)

3.Presence of guide is must during the review presentation.

4.Individual student only responsible for their presentations.

5.Power point should be available only in CDs (Pen drives are not permitted during the
review)

6.There is no change in the review schedules.

7.Getting absence from any of the reviews without prior permission will not be entertained for
any reasons.
