INCORRECT DEGREE LISTED ON CERTIFICATE
I am writing regarding a mistake on the certificate we recently received from our
prestigious university upon completing our degree program. The certificate incorrectly
lists our degree as a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), when we have actually earned a
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree.
We were enrolled in the Urban and Regional Planning program, which is clearly
described in the academic calendar as a Bachelor of Science curriculum. However, the
certificate we obtained after our graduation ceremony states "Bachelor of Engineering"
rather than "Bachelor of Science" as our degree.
Enclosed with this letter is a copy of the erroneous certificate for your reference. As you
can see, the degree type listed is incorrect. We would greatly appreciate if this error
could be rectified by issuing us a new certificate with the proper "Bachelor of Science"
designation. Having the right certification of our academic credentials is crucial for our
future career endeavors.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this important matter, as sequel to our National
Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization. However, we had made complaint to the
certificate collection unit but we have not received any positive outcome on it. We look
forward to receiving the accurate documentation of our Bachelor of Science degree
soon.
