NB:
Note that, the quantities for each mentioned item in the table above will entirely depend on the
usage. Therefore, it can be less or more.
Mix 10kg of hydrated lime, 3kg of coarse and 1 litre of formalin in 20litres of water. Ensure to wear
hard glove and then paint the floor and the wall, 1metre from the ground. This should be done 5-
7days before receiving the chicks.
Stocking rate for broilers is 10 -20adult birds per square metre (1m by 1m space) and 35-50 chicks
per square metre. Ensure not to over crowd your chickens, keep extending the space as the
chickens are growing. In addition, ensure to be lifting the drinkers and feeders to chickens’ back
height.
For white diarrhea, administer oxytetracycline for 5days. For blood/brownish/blackish diarrhea,
administer amprolium in their drinking water for 5days. For coughing, sneezing, infectious coryza
(swelling of eyes), administer respicel or gentadox in their drinking water for 5-7days.
After each vaccination, ensure to give them stress pack or vitamin E or Amylite for 2days.
This schedule below is based on my own experience and that is what has been working for me.
