DRILL TYPE: ENCLOSED SPACE RESCUE-BWT 7S DATE: 21 JULY 2022

Confirm that equipment used during the drills has been brought back to full YES NO operational condition and any faults & defects discovered rectified / notified to office? Comments/ Observations: 1600: Bosun and pump man entered in to 7S BWT and Jr/officer stand by on deck communication established with bridge and all safety equipment stand by for immediate use and enclosed entry permit complied and posted. 1603: P/M informed that Bosun tripped from the ladder and fallen down and become unconscious. Jr. officer relayed the message to bridge. 1604: General alarm raised and master informed 1606: All crew mustered, stand by party, Emergency party, Engine room party and headcount taken. 1607: Rescue party and stand by party ready with O2 resuscitator and harness and stretcher. 1609: Atmosphere checked all found satisfactory. 1611: Rescue party AB 2 and MTM 1 entered in to the space with SCBA set and bottle pressure 295 and 300 bar each 1615: AB 2 informed that Boson was lying on second platform with no response. EEBD put on his face and Bosun transferred to stretcher for rescue 1619: Stand by party heaved Bosun out of enclosed space using the fixed tripod 1621: Causality given first aid and found pulse was low, resuscitator used and condition was revived. 1624: Causality transferred to hospital for medication and further checks. 1626: Causality pulse back to normal. 1626-1630 CREW DEBRIEFED BY CH/OFF. 1630: DRILL CALLED OFF. Contingency Checklist #11 discussed in detail. WASH UP: Training on methods of using stretchers (Use from Enclosed spaces), Gas detector testing calibration & toxic gas vapour precautions, and Asphyxia- Artificial Respiration and CPR use of oxygen resuscitator explained to all crew. Circular Safety - RSQ014-2022 discussed in details. Enclosed Space Entry Checklists (SAF/21,21C, SAF/22), explained in detail. SMM.9.3.4.10 (ENTRY INTO ENCLOSED SPACES),chapter explained to all the crew.
