preparing them strategically. A comprehensive placement policy has been developed to cater to students' aspirations, parents'
expectations, and industry needs, with the university catalysing transformative change in students' employability.

Aim of the policy -

This policy aims to inform and regulate students about Training and Placement Policy, ensuring professional conduct and
providing guidelines for accepting job offers. It also lays down rules for joining companies, both in terms of penalties and

Types offer

As a student, it is crucial to understand the different types of job offers and opportunities available to you during your academic
journey. These opportunities include job offers, pre-placement offers, independent offers, on-job training, and internship offers.

A job offer is the final selection in a company made through a placement drive, and it is essential to receive written confirmation
after the oral communication. A pre-placement offer (PPO) is a job offer made to a student during an internship or project done
with a company. An independent offer is a job offer secured by a student without the involvement or facilitation of the
university. It is important to inform the university about any independent job offers received to ensure proper verification and
response to any enquiries from the company.

On-job training (OJT) is a special privilege created to provide practical exposure to students and enhance their career prospects.
If selected for OJT, the student is considered placed with the recruiter and not eligible for any further placement opportunities.
Internship offers, on the other hand, do not confirm job placement, and some may be converted to PPOs based on individual
performance and company requirements.

Participating in drives and actively engaging with T&P can increase your chances of securing a job offer or opportunity. However,
students already placed through the university are advised to avoid availing independent offers, and those with immediate
joining dates must seek prior consent from the university through TPCs. It is also important to note that students under OJT are
not entitled to any duty leaves, academic benefits, or other drives against independent offers unless approved.

Understanding these types of offers and opportunities and complying with university guidelines can greatly benefit your career
prospects and ensure a successful transition from academia to the professional world.
