NARRATIVE REPORT
NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP 2024
Day 3 – July 4, 2024

Day 3 of the National Learning Camp was filled with enthusiasm and dynamic
learning as students participated in the Math Intervention Camp and English sessions. The
teachers’ volunteers and campers expressed their satisfaction with the day's activities, and
the positive feedback highlighted the effectiveness of interactive and engaging learning
methods. As the camp progresses, the enthusiasm and dedication of both students and
facilitators continue to drive the success of the learning camp.

The Math Intervention Camp featured the "Around the World" Math Game, focusing
on basic addition and multiplication. Students were divided into teams and given a passport
to travel virtually to different countries. Each stop presented math challenges related to basic
addition and multiplication, integrating cultural contexts to make the problems more relatable
and exciting. This interactive approach not only improved students' arithmetic skills but also
encouraged teamwork and global awareness. The competitive element of collecting stamps
for correct answers kept the students motivated and enthusiastic.

The English Intervention Camp focused on reading and spelling, with activities
designed to build foundational literacy skills. The session began with a reading circle where
students took turns reading passages from selected books, improving their fluency and
comprehension. This was followed by a lively spelling bee, which helped students practice
spelling accuracy and phonemic awareness in a fun and competitive environment.
Additionally, interactive word games like Scrabble and Boggle made learning vocabulary
enjoyable, while writing exercises encouraged creativity and reinforced grammatical skills.

Overall, Day 3 of the National Learning Camp was a tremendous success, with
students showing significant progress in both math and English. The integration of
interactive and engaging activities proved to be effective in making learning enjoyable and
impactful. Facilitators and participants alike expressed their satisfaction with the day's
events, highlighting the positive impact of these educational strategies. As the camp
progresses, the continued dedication of both students and facilitators promises further
success and development.
