PROJECT’S RESPONSIBILITIES (Piping and Welding):

• Ensure that all inspection & tests are carried out as per approved ITP, Method Statements and Procedures.
• Highlight all process/product non-conformities through CARs/NCRs and follow up for closing.
• Review & Monitor Calibration frequency & certificates of Instruments used at site.
• Check Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & Procedure Qualification Record (PQR).
• Checking for consistency with P & ID, Piping Plan and Isometric/Detail Drawing as to size, rating and
material.
• Responsible for daily monitoring and inspection of contractor's pipe fabrication operations, pipe installation,
Perform and witness as client representative inspection according to the codes and standards, client
specification, ASME/ANSI inspection and dimension of all field activities, (mat. Receiving of piping, fittings,
valves, plates, flanges) welding & rack installations.
• Responsible for the spool marking and welds marking
• Inspection of Piping fabrication and erection according to client’s specification.
• Perform & witness the welding inspection of welder qualification test as per ASME IX.
Follow & witness TIE-IN welding quality activities to meet the client specification during the plant shutdown.
• Welding Parameters Recording.
• Co-ordinate in preparation & Implementation of Inspection Test plain (ITP), as per applicable code and Project
Specifications.
• Checking the isometric drawing’s & as built for pipelines, follows up the pickling & flushing pipelines
hydraulic pumps piping & hydro tests. Conduct walk downs punch listing for pipe systems before Hydro test
Review the test packages for piping & tanks, extract piping engineering info from drawings, P&ID's & issue the
punch list items & follow up clearance activities.
• Control of welding material (Electrode, Filler Wire) backing of Low Hydrogen Electrode.
• Visual Inspection of Welding.
• Review of RT, DPT, MT, PWHT and Hardness Reports.
• Identify repair and re-inspect with NDT.
• Monitoring day-to-day record of all films.
• Submission of all NDT record to Client as per approved Procedure and requirement.
• Witness of Bolt Torqueing and Tensioning.
• Co-ordination with Client Inspector, Third party inspectors to implement their hold points and for any
modification in Drawing or in P&IDs.
• Responsible for the preparing of the Test Packages, QA/QC Formats, and Reports.
• Verification of Punch list after rectification.
• Control final documentation to submission to client.
• Coordinate Quality Awareness Campaign to create & sustain Quality Culture at Site.
• Manage & Conduct Quality & Flawless Startup Initiative Tool Box & Training.
• Complete awareness with the isometric drawings & fabrication.
