NOTIFICATION

ln accordance with the dury approved minutes

of the meeting of the Sub_Committee of
senate (standing committee) dated 09.04.2024 (Tuesday)
at r.2:15 pM, the forowing is
notified:

(i) The Sub-committee of senate (Standing

committee) considered the sop proposed by the
chairman suGC for offering branch-specific courses
to the students whose branches were
slided in the academic session 2023-24 as per the provisions
of crause 5.4 0f ordinances for
Bacherors' programme. The chairman SUGC informed
that out of 1o5g [uG] admitted
students onry 91 students had appried for the branch
change. out of these g1 0nry 23
students courd meet their choice and got branch srided.
As per the provisions of crause 5.4
of the ordinances for Bacherors' programme the branch
srided students are required to
complete branch specific courses of the rt and flnd
semester which they have not studied.
The associated detairs are given in the Annexure-A.
rn order to ensure earry compretion of
this additionar academic requirement, the sub-committee
of senate (standing committee)
resolved to propose that the brahch srided students
be aflowed to comprete the branch
specific courses during the Summer vacation. The
concerned departments wifl arrange a
associated academic activities, viz. engagement of associated rectures, tutoriars,
laboratories, MsE, practicar Examination(s), ESE, evaruation,
grade entry, and submission of
trades to Dean [Academic] office. rt is arso resorved that the MSE and ESE
wifl be schedured
by the Examination ce[, and the Examination wil be
conducted by the Departments. The
sub-committee of senate (standing committee) arso
resorved to recommend that the grade
sheet preparation, spr, and cpr computations of such
students will be done as per the
provisions of crause 5.4 0f ordinances for
Bacherors' programme. Further the sub-
committee of Senate (standing committee) also resolved
to recommend that concerned
departments will notify this arrangement ratest by 2o-o4-zoz4with
a copy to the office of
the Dean [Academic].
(ii) The sub-committee of senate (standing
committee) discussed the proposar for the
preponement of End of crasses and EsE Examinations
in right of loksabha Erections and the
request of Professor in charge
[Training and pracement] for rerieving the students of B.Tech
vl semester for rnternship and observed that as per the present approved
Academic
calendar, the classes are concluding o n L7-os-2024,the practical
Examinations are startint
on 05-05-2024 and compreting on 18-05-2024, the EsE Examinations
are starting from 20-
os-2024 and finishing by oL-o6-2024, the totar days
assigned to the semester are 74 days
and the Loksabha elections are scheduled on 2S_OS_2O24
in prayagraj.
ln light of above, the Sub-Committee of Senate (Standing Committee) resolved to
recommend that the Classes be concluded by 10-05-2024 for B.Tech Vl Semester and the
Practical Examinations be scheduled lrcm 29-04-2024 to 11-05-2024 for B.Tech Vl Semester
while the ESE Examinations be conducted during 13-05-2024 to 22-05-2024. The committee
also resolved that 11-05-2024 [Saturday] be declared as Class makeup academic working
day, thereby making total days assigned to the Semester as 70 days.

This notification is issued with the approval of competent authority.
