Receive the item


– On mobile device with reference to the purchase order line
– Receives the item on the default receipt location of the warehouse
– Optionally split to different inventory units as specified in the unit sequence group
– Generates warehouse work for put-away (in case of a two-step receipt process)

Enter the sales order


– Product and warehouse enabled for the new warehouse management
Reserve the ordered item
– Automatically or manually (button “Inventory/Reservation” in order line)
– New reservation functionality, applying the reservation hierarchy

Create Shipment

Create the shipment


– Shipments represent separate deliveries
– Button “Release to warehouse” in sales order form (for shipping the complete order);
or release from the load planning workbench (-> transportation management)
– Auto-creation possible (Batch job, policy settings in parameters)

Create Load

A load represents an inbound or outbound transportation unit


– One load contains one or more shipments
– One order source document may be split into multiple shipments and loads (reduce the
quantity when you create the first load and then create a second load)
Create the load
– Manually by clicking the button “Transfer shipment to new load” in the shipment form
– Auto-creation possible (Settings in warehouse management parameters)
Alternatively create the load before the shipment, or skip creating the load manually

Create and Release Wave

Create and release the wave


– A wave is a group of shipments
– Create the wave (Button “New” in wave form)
– Add the shipment to the wave (Button “Maintain shipments” in wave form)
– Process the wave (Button “Process” in wave form): Generates the warehouse work
– Release the wave (Button “Release”): Unblocks the wave and the work
Settings in the wave template control automatic wave creation and processing

Execute Work on Mobile Device

Work is the instruction of what to do where and how


– Contains two or more steps (work lines), which are processed on mobile devices
Register the warehouse transactions on the mobile device
– Pick the item (Scan work ID if “User-directed” or execute given “System-directed” work)
– Put the item to the outbound location

Confirm Shipment

Confirm the load and the shipment


– Confirming closes the shipment and the load
– Button “Confirm shipment” in the shipment (only if the load contains only one shipment);
or button “Ship and receive/Confirm/Outbound shipment” in the load
– Automatic confirmation possible through work audit templates
Post the packing slip
– Button “Print/Packing slip” in the shipment (or packing slip posting in sales order)
