Join new computer into Domain

Step1
Set the IP address of the computer.
If this is communication computer or Ocean Manager server IP address need to set as Static rest all
computer IP address shall be automatic.
Communication computer: Ocean Manager computer:
IP Address: 192.168.128.11 IP Address: 192.168.128.10
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.128.1 Default Gateway: 192.168.128.1
Preferred DNS: 192.168.128.23 Preferred DNS: 192.168.128.23

Step2
Check the IP address and do the Ping test. Command as below.
Ipconfig /all
If you set the IP address automatic, then you must receive 192.168.128.xxx series IP address.
Ping 192.168.128.1
Ping 192.168.128.23
Make sure you are getting reply from 192.168.128.1 and 192.168.128.23. See below screen shorts.

If above is OK, then we are proceed to Step3

Step 3
Go to run and type sysdm.cpl. This will open System properties Page.

Step 4
Click on Change.

Step 5
AA) Check the computer name and set the computer name as per AESM standard.
Example: “CHENG-9434917” Where CHENG is the computer location and 9434917 is your vessel IMO
number. Similarly, you need to change the all-new computer name as below sequence.

Communication Computer : COMMS- IMO Number


Digitrace : DIGI- IMO Number
Bridge : BRIDGE- IMO Number
Master Cabin : MASTER- IMO Number
Chief Eng Cabin : CHENG- IMO Number
CCR : CCR- IMO Number
Chief Officer : CHOFF- IMO Number
Crew : CREW- IMO Number
ECR1 : ECR1- IMO Number
ECR2 : ECR2- IMO Number
Ocean Manager : KMS- IMO Number

BB) Click on Domain and type your domain name.


Example: niamey.local and click on OK. It will prompt for username password.
Username: aeship
Password: As per your vessel aeship password.
Click OK
On successfully attempt computer will join int Domain and it will ask to restart the computer.

Step 5
After system restart login to specific login.

Crew crew Admin DHCP

Comms callsign Admin 192.168.128.11
Ocean Manager .\kms Kms 192.168.128.10

Step 6
Install ConnectWise application. Copy ConnectWise agent from below location. Copy to desktop and run
the setup. Later remove the setup from desktop.
\\fs\Vessel Software\OneNovation Software\connectwise
