• HSBC Global Banking and Markets, Bangalore | Junior Analyst, Forex-e-risk team (May’19-July’19)
Objective Chat Parser for Forex Options Trading Desk to compare Voice and Electronically traded contracts
Developed a python script that extracts complete priced contracts from the raw input of options trading chats
Analyzed and classified the chat data from different chat platforms into 3 major classes : Requests, Greetings, and Contracts
Project
Developed Regular Expressions for extracting important contract variables like Currency Pair, Tenor, Strike, Instrument Type
Extended the parser for multiple leg contracts specified in multiple lines and for contracts that require context from previous lines
Developed script parses contract evaluations from chatrooms and appends the extracted contract in KDB Database in realtime
Impact Developed timeseries in KDB Database is useful for comparing prices of Voice and Electronic Trading
This parser helps traders to get the latest price of any contract instantly in real time
• The Money Roller | Data Analytics Intern on Indian Mutual Funds (May’20-July’20)
Web Scraped historical monthly portfolio and NAV data for all running schemes of SBI and Motilal Oswal fund houses from 2013 till Jun 2020
Scraping Automated the process of scraping the required data using BeautifulSoup and Selenium libraries in python
Performed Data Wrangling techniques using Pandas, Numpy and Regex libraries to convert raw data into structured usable format
Data Developed a generalized python script which parses through varying raw datasheets released every month and extracts the required data
Processing Created SQLite databases to store the extracted portfolio data of all the running schemes for each of the fund houses
Portfolio Tracker : Developed a python script that computes change in quantities held in different instruments during any given month
Data Portfolio Composition Tracker : Developed a python script which tracks changes in different asset class holdings on monthly frequency
Analytics Sector Analysis : Developed a script to track holdings in different sectors. Used Cosine Similarity to correct for typos in sector tags
Technical Projects
• Configuring an AWS web server to host a web microservice | Demux Academy (July’20-Aug’20)
– Set up AWS EC2 web server and configure different services through Virtual Hosting and Mysql as DB Host setup
– Configured DNS and map it with the web server using Elastic IP, uploaded the project over github and pulled the master branch to my server
– Created a web application using a tech stack including CSS, JS, Bootstrap, Angular, NodeJS etc and use it as a primary project.
– Technology involved include Virtual Hosting through ApacheV2, Confd Configuration, Version Control and full stack for the microservice
• Summer Analytics 2020 Program | Data Science bootcamp course organized by Consulting and Analytics Club, IIT Guwahati (May’20-Jun’20)
– Gained hands on exposure to Data Science and ML concepts through weekly assignments. Key learnings include the following:
– EDA using Seaborn and Matplotlib, Evaluation metrics like AUC-ROC and MSE, feature selection techniques and Hyperparameter tuning

Self Project
• The Hangman Solver (May’20-May’20)
– Objective: To design an algorithm that plays the hangman game with guessing limit of max 6 incorrect guesses
– Strategy: Designed a statistical n-grams based model that relies on the frequency of occurrence of different n-grams in training set
– Designed and implemented a strategy that dynamically develops possible masked n-grams to be matched based on the current state of game
– Results: Outperformed historical median and achieved an accuracy of 54.3% on a test set of 250000 words entirely disjoint from training set
