Story of Success
Prajjawal shares the following with profound humility - “Since my formative years, I've been drawn to the charm of
complex math equations. However, I have faced a daunting obstacle when it came to solving the financial puzzle for my
M.Sc. in Mathematics. My father, a dedicated Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation employee, supported our family of four
on a monthly income of around ₹20,000. While this covered our basic needs, affording higher costs of essential
textbooks always posed a challenge. Struggling to meet these educational expenses, I discovered the LIC HFL
Vidyadhan Scholarship at a critical moment in 2023. This scholarship programme appeared like a stroke of luck for my
academic fortune, providing a substantive amount annually for two consecutive years. This valuable support enabled
me not only to purchase necessary textbooks but also to cover hostel fees.
With the timely support of this scholarship programme, a significant part of the financial burden was reduced. This
allowed me to fully immerse myself in the world of mathematics. As I am near to the completion of my M.Sc. studies,
the path towards pursuing a PhD program and a fulfilling career as a mathematics professor is becoming clearer. I am

Siddesh Sakore, a regenerative farmer scholar, who is empowering small and marginal
farmers by rejuvenating their farmlands through regenerative agroforestry. A recipient of
the Schaeffler India Social Innovator Fellowship 2023, Siddesh is successfully running
AGRO RANGERS, a start-up venture and a non-profit initiative helping small and marginal
farmers create sustainable income sources by planting trees and crops together.
