The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon was created as a result of many millions of years of erosive
river activity and rock formations. It is not only one of the largest landscapes
on Earth, it is an open book that demonstrates planet Earth’s geological
history. This marvel follows the course of the Colorado River in Arizona, over
446 km. The area is also under protection in the Grand Canyon National Park
with a total area of 495,000 hectares.

The Grand Canyon National Park has one of the richest ecosystems in the USA.
It has all types of forest and desert, in addition to some 350 species of birds,
and another 150 of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish.
The Skywalk, built in 2007 is a large circular platform with a glass floor which
projects 20m outwards and offers spectacular views of the Grand Canyon.

Tourist routes have been marked out in the park, and rafting trips are also
organized.
A lot of people say that “you have to see it to believe it” and that’s true. It's
simply breathtaking and it puts life in perspective. The changing lights and
colors of the Canyon are an amazing phenomenon. You can relax and forget
about all your problems. It’s a wonderful place for taking family pictures or
selfies. Everything is safe, so you don't have to worry about your safety.
