BASKETBALL
GUIDELINES

1. This competition is open to all male SFC members.


2. There should be one entry per sector. All sectors should submit their entry on or before May 27,
2024. (The official list should be signed by the SFC Sector Couple Coordinator to ensure that they
are certified SFC members).
3. Each team must not exceed the maximum limit of 15 players. Kindly assign one (1) Couple
Coordinator or (1) Chapter Leader from your area to act as Representative of the team.
4. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies, otherwise they will be disqualified.
5. On the game proper only the players, coach and one representative are allowed to stay on the
bench in order for the game to start. SFC members and Couple coordinators of respective area are
not allowed in the bench and in the basketball committees table.
6. Each player must wear their respective color assignments for identification (wear uniform jersey
with numbers, if possible).
7. All players must be in sports attire (or else they will face disqualification).
8. The collegiate amateur rules will be used.
9. Each game will run for 15-minutes per half. The 1st and 2nd half of the game will use a 15-minute
running time format. The time clock will be stopped only during free throws and time-outs.
10. In case of overtime, a 5-minute extension will be played on stop-time format.
11. Teams will be given 2-time outs for the 1st half and 3-time outs for the 2nd half
12. To avoid delays of schedule of the sports competition committee, we will set a synchronize time
during the opening ceremonies.
13. If a team is not in the playing court on their time schedule, ONE (1) POINT PER MINUTE WILL BE
DEDUCTED FROM THEIR FINAL SCORE. If the team does not have a full set of at least 5 players 15
minutes in of the scheduled time, they will lose by DEFAULT.
14. Knockout system will be applied.
15. Game matches will be pre-drawn.

Note: Any form of complaint or untoward incident should be coursed through the designated
Representative from the SFC BASKETBALL COMMITTEE. If unresolved, complaint will be forwarded to Er
Abringe (SFC Metro Manila Missions Coordinator).

VOLLEYBALL
GUIDELINES
1. This competition is open to all female SFC members.
2. There should be one entry per Sector. All sectors should submit their entry on or before May 27, 2024.
(The official list should be signed by the SFC Sector Couple Coordinator to ensure that they are certified
SFC members).
3. Each team must not exceed the maximum limit of 15 players (sisters). Kindly assign one (1) Couple
Coordinator or (1) one Chapter Leader from your area to act as Representative of the team.
4. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies, otherwise they will be disqualified.
5. On the game proper only the players, coach and one representative are allowed to stay on the bench
in order for the game to start.
6. Each player must wear their respective color assignments for identification.
7. Each player’s number must be clearly indicated in the uniform jersey (i.e. 1-18 only)
8. All players must be in sports attire or else they will face disqualification
9. Elimination matches will be played according to single elimination principle (a team is eliminated after losing
1 game). Matches will be played best of three (3) sets. The first two (2) sets will be in 15 points, with 2-point
difference, cap at 17. In case of a third set, it will be played in 10 points, with 2-point difference, cap at 12.
One (1) 30-second timeout is allowed per team for every set.
10. There will be three (3) winners per bracket after the elimination round. They will be ranked based on the
proportion of their won points / lost points.
11. The top two (2) teams per bracket will compete for the semi-finals round. Matches will be determined
through draw lots. The same rules used for the elimination round will be applied.
12. The two (2) winning teams will compete for championship, which will be played best of three (3) sets. The
first two sets will also be in 15 points, with 2-point difference, cap at 17. In case of a third set, it will be
played in 10 points, with 2-point difference, cap at 12. One (1) 30-second timeout is allowed per team for
every set.
13. In case of a behavior that the referee feels inappropriate, impolite, threatening or aggressive, a participant
(on the court or the bench) can receive the following sanctions during a match:
- Oral warning
- Penalty: point lost and service given to the posing team
- Exclusion: point lost and service given to the opposing team and the participant cannot play until the end
of the set
14. Disqualification: point lost and service given to the opposing team and the participant cannot play until the
end of the match.If a team is not in the playing court on their time schedule, ONE (1) POINT PER MINUTE
WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THEIR FINAL SCORE. If the team does not have a full set of at least 6 players 15
minutes in of the scheduled time, they will lose by DEFAULT.

Note: Any form of complaint or untoward incident should be coursed through the designated Representative from
the SFC VOLLEYBALL COMMITTEE. If unresolved, complaint will be forwarded to Er Abringe (SFC Metro Manila
Missions Coordinator.

TABLE TENNIS
GUIDELINES

1. This competition is open to all SFC members.


2. There should be one entry per Sector. All Sectors should submit their entry on or before May
27, 2024. (The official list should be signed by the SFC Sector Couple Coordinator to ensure that
they are certified SFC members).
Singles (1 SFC brother) Singles (1 SFC sister)
Mixed doubles (1 SFC brother and 1 SFC sister)
3. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies, otherwise they will be disqualified.
4. Kindly assign one (1) Couple Coordinator or (1) Chapter Leader from your area to act as
Representative of the team.
5. Only players listed in the official line-up will be allowed to play.
6. All players must be in sports attire or else they will face disqualification
7. Each participant must bring her own table tennis racket. No borrowing of rackets will be
allowed.
NO TABLES TENNIS RACKET, NO PLAY.
8. Knock out system will be applied (losing one game will mean elimination from the
tournament).
9. If the player(s) is/are not in the playing court on their time schedule, ONE (1) POINT PER
MINUTE WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THEIR FINAL SCORE. If the player(s) are not in the venue 15
minutes in of the scheduled time, they will lose by DEFAULT.
10. Two (2) winning sets are needed to claim victory. A 3rd set will only be played in the event
of a tie.
11. Game matches will be pre-drawn.

Representative from the SFC TABLE TENNIS COMMITTEE. If unresolved, complaint will be forwarded to Er

BADMINTON
GUIDELINES

1. This competition is open to all SFC members.


2. There should be one entry per Sector. All Sectors should submit their entry on or before May 27, 2024.

3. Each team will be composed of two players (1 brother and 1 sister).
4. All teams are required to be at the opening ceremonies, otherwise they will be disqualified.
5. Kindly assign one (1) Couple Coordinator from your area to act as Representative of the team.
6. Only players listed on the official line-up will be allowed to play.
7. All players must be in sports attire or else they will face disqualification
8. Each participant must bring her own badminton racket. No borrowing of rackets will be allowed. NO
BADMINTON RACKET, NO PLAY.
9. Knock out system will be applied (losing one game will mean elimination from the tournament).
10. If the player(s) is/are not in the playing court on their time schedule, ONE (1) POINT PER MINUTE WILL BE
DEDUCTED FROM THEIR FINAL SCORE. If the player(s) are not in the venue 15 minutes in of the scheduled
time, they will lose by DEFAULT.

CHESS

GUIDELINES

1. This competition is open to all SFC members.


2. There should be one entry per Sector. All Sectors should submit their entry on or before May 27,
2024. (The official list should be signed by the SFC Sector Couple Coordinator to ensure that they
are certified SFC members).
1 player per sector (brother/sister).
3. Kindly assign one (1) Couple Coordinator from your area to act as Representative of the team.
4. Only players listed on the official line-up will be allowed to play.
5. Knock out system will be applied (losing one game will mean elimination from the
tournament).
6. The clock starts immediately and white makes the first move on the exact time the game
is scheduled. If the player(s) are not in the venue 15 minutes in of the scheduled time,
they will lose by DEFAULT.
7. Game matches will be pre-drawn.

Note: Any form of complaint or untoward incident should be coursed through the designated Representative from
the SFC CHESS COMMITTEE. If unresolved, complaint will be forwarded to Er Abringe (SFC Metro Manila Missions
Coordinator).
