Hello,

I’m Omar Badr from Egypt. I’m working as an IT consultant and interim
manager working at a US company who is a leader in the Datacenter and
Multi-cloud business. I lead multi-million-dollar projects to digitally
transform our customer technology stack and enable them to be cloud-
ready. With an extensive background in the tech industry, I have led teams
and customers through complex projects toward success over the past
couple of years earning a 97% customer satisfaction rate and accolades
for my contributions.

My current position is a supervisor-level position, I’m responsible for

hiring backfiles, onboarding, training, utilization, scheduling, and handling
escalations. As we are just out of a large acquisition and a lot of turnover
happening I think I’m evaluated on keeping a tight ship and making sure I
hiring backfiles and getting them up to speed as fast as possible. The
Management Pholisphoy used to be being a servent leader but It’s turning
more to a strength-based leadership style.

During my 8-year tenure with the company. I started a virtual committee

for university relations to help develop university undergraduates,
develop our local communities, and build relationships with University
Professors and staff. I led a team of 20 people to deliver technical sessions
and workshops to more than 1500 undergraduates, we presented
technical sessions in 6 universities around Egypt and participated in 6
University job fairs. More than 100 employees were directly hired through
one of our programs.

As a new interim manager, I’m looking to understand how to

communicate with my managers, establish myself, and grow my team.
And from my reading, I know business people turn to management
consultants for help so I figured if I can gain the skills myself so I can
navigate the business world after a 9 years in IT.
