Under a new weekly initiative, the Primary Hub, Year 10 and 12
students mentor pupils at local primary schools, helping with
homework, maths, English, and other activities.

The Sunday Times Parent Power guide has named St Paul’s Girls
School the Independent School of the Year by Academic Performance
2024 and London Independent School of the Year for Academic
Performance 2024

Extracurricular activities

Popular clubs include the dissection society as well as clubs for AI

and ethics, virtual reality, improv and Japanese. The Duke of
Edinburgh’s Award scheme, debating, and Model United Nations form
part of the co-curricular landscape, and there are sports, music, and
drama programmes. Student-inspired initiatives include ReStore (a
sustainable second-hand fashion store which also hires out PE kit to
pupils who have lost or forgotten something), a history podcast, and a
film magazine.

What is your pastoral care/wellbeing programme?

St Paul’s Girls’ is always trying to improve its pastoral support. There

is an emphasis on early intervention where problems emerge. The
school organises discussion evenings for parents and a wellbeing
week with a variety of activities for the school community.

What’s a typical school lunch menu?

Good and healthy food is a priority, and students and staff eat
together from the same menu. One day each week is dedicated to
meat-free options, and there is a daily vegan main course. Our
lunchtime menu ranges from pies and fish and chips to international
delicacies.

Do you offer any qualifications other than A-level, IB and GCSE?

We offer school-directed courses at GCSE level for drama, music, art

and computer science and creative technology.

Do you offer any scholarships, bursaries or financial assistance?

Bursaries support 11 per cent of students at the moment and plans are
in place to increase the proportion to 20 per cent, with awards
covering from 5 per cent to 100 per cent of fees, funded by the
school’s endowment. Scholarships are based on meritocracy and
awarded following an audition.
