DAILY LESSON PLAN

ACADEMIC SESSION: 2022-2023

Planner No: 2 / 9 Week No: 21st Date:

Developed by: FIC E-9 Reviewed by: FEAD, Ibd Taught by:
Subject: Math Class: V Time: (40 min)
Unit & Title: Geometry Topic: Angles Subtopic: Types of angles
Lesson Objective(S): Students will be able to recognize types of angles.
Skills Focused on: Mental Math, application , demonstration
Resources: -Video(If possible ) , flash cards, two rays made with the help of hard chart,
Chinese fan (if possible)
Methodology:-
(a) Prior Knowledge: (Recap, Brainstorming, Mind Mapping, etc.)
The prior knowledge of students will be checked through the following questions:
1. What is an angle?
2. Nam the arms of this angle.
3. What is vertex of this angle?
After that the topic will be announced “Angles and Its Features.”
(b) Explanation:(Based on Cross- Curricular Links)
As the students have already read about angles and its types in class 4, teacher will revise all
the concepts by involving students and asking questions. Two rays of hard chart can also be
used to show the types of angles.
Types Of Angles
There are five main types of angles.

Right Angle
• An L shaped angle measuring 90° is called right angle.

Acute angle

• Angle which is less than 90° but greater than 0° is called acute angle.

Obtuse angle
• Angle which is less than 180° but greater than 90° is called obtuse angle.
Straight angle

An angle whose measure is 180 degrees.

Reflex angle:
An angle greater than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees is called reflex angle.

Video will be shown(if possible) to elaborate more.

(c)Activity: students will be called on board to identify the types of angles displayed on flash
cards.
(d)Wrap-up: Topic will be wrapped-up by going through the main points of lesson.
