making students aware of the provision and facilities available in the college.The college,
which is situated ina small town in the district of Nadia, has been providing service to the
locals in the field of higher education of Ranaghat and adjacent area. It was assessed and accredited by
NAAC in 2018. It aims at making a student sharper, faster and stronger, so that he/she may become a great
achieverin future. The college is affiliated to University of Kalyani and both General and Honours courses
are provided to learners who serve options for choice froma variety of subjects of Arts, Science and
Commerce according to their needs and suitability. Students have the opportunity to join the postgraduate
course of Bengaliin this college. Apart from the regular courses, the college aslo provides the opportunity
of distance learning to students under the auspices of DODL and IGNOUoffering various Degree and
Postgraduate courses. The college is well-connected with other towns and villages by roads and railways.
It has adequate number of classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, seminar halls, Smart Classrooms,
well-stocked library and reading room, a central computer room, a large auditorium and a large
playground to facilitate the academic and extracurricular activities of students. The N.C.C. units of boys
and girls help in bringing about the development of physicaland disciplinary aspectsof the students of
college. The N.S.S. units of boys and girls help in the growth of social conseiousness of students.

The well-stocked central library ofthe college is newly luished. The moden method of entaloguing has already been introddueed. the
computerization of thelibrary is in progres. Thelibrary has acolleetion of over 14,000 bocks having more than 4500 titles. The library
remainsopen from 7.00am to S.00pm on allworking days, The library subseribes to anumber ofreputed journal &newspapers. Inside the
library there is proviston for rending. Books are purchased every year keeping in mind the neds of the students as well as the rescarch &

The college magazine is published annually by the students'union with the active cncouragement and help ofthe teachers. It is
designcd so as to honc the talent of students. Besides,the department of Bengali &science departments publish magazincs
such as "Atmaprakash &"Anuranan" respectively. Deptt. of botany publishes newsletter "Nabapallab". Department of
chemistry publishes"Nibodhata" &dept. ofphysics publishes "Galaxy" wall magazines.
NCC UNITS
There are two separate N.C.C. units for boys & girls. Joining the N.C.C. units hclps students to be disciplined in life as it
inculcates nationalistic fcelings, besides developing their physical & mental faculties, N.C.C. cadets can also avail
opportunities to join armed forces.

N.S.S. UNITS
There are two wings ofthe N.S.S. These units are very active. They have undertaken activitics such as blood donation camp,
science &health awareness programmes, water harvesting ctc. Every year the NSS units adopt two villages for their out reach
activities where they have undertaken measures like survey of the socio-economic condition of the villagers, construction of
roads, digging tube wells, water harvesting and other community development activities such as health & hygiene awareness
programmes, ctc,N.S.S. students also maintain an arboreturn in the college campus. Morcover, the college regularly organizes

RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE FOLLOVWED BY STUDENTS


1 Students should bring with them their student's identity card to get into the college.
Duplicate identitycard is issued on production ofacopy of general diary at the police station &paying afee forit.
Visitors are requíred to record their entry at the gate for anyoffiçial purpose and may meet theteacher-in-chargeon prior permission.

6. Students have to ensure 75% classes. If attendence falls below 75% a non-collegiate fee of Rs. 250/- is required to be deposited to sit for the
