Due   to   business   expansion   in   the   area   of   Data   Center/   IT-­‐Infrastructure   services,   company   is  
looking  for  
 
IT  Infrastructure  Engineer  (Servers,  Storage,  Virtualization)    
 
We  are  looking  for  strong  skillset  mainly  in  server,  storage  and  virtualization  area  with  the  
ability   to   design   full   IT   infrastructure   architecture/   solution   based   on   customer  
requirements.  
 
Purpose  
• Design,   implement   and   support   IT   infrastructure   solutions   based   on   customer  
requirements  and  business  needs.  
• Provide   support   to   customers   and   within   Santa   Monica   Group   as   a   Subject   Matter  
Expert  in  the  area  of  specialization.  
• Support  customer  support  teams  in  solving  escalated  technical  issues.  
 
Critical  Competences  and  Work  Experience  
• A  relevant  university  degree  and/or  minimum  of  5  years  of  related  work  experience  
in  planning  and  administrating  enterprise  IT  systems.  
• Systems  administration-­‐level  understanding  of:  
o x86   platforms   hardware,   including   CPU   architectures,   configurations,  
component  dependencies,  remote  troubleshooting  and  management;  
o Server  virtualization  and  VDI  environment  (VMware  or  Hyper-­‐V  preferred);  
o Linux   (RHEL,   SuSE   preferred)   or   Windows   Server   (2008R2,   2012)  
administration  experience  in  large-­‐scale  environments;  
o Application  Delivery  Controllers  (preferably  F5)  implementation  possibilities  
and  configuration;  
o NAS  and  SAN  storage  infrastructure  and  protocols.  Experience  with  NetApp  
or  HP/3PAR  is  a  plus;  
o Networking  competences  and  experience  is  a  plus.  
• Ability  to  transform  business  requirements  into  technical  requirements.  
• Ability  to  analyze  systems  to  determine  technical  requirements.  
• Ability   to   produce   necessary   documentation   such   as   an   infrastructure   design  
drawings  and  descriptions.  
• Good  communication  and  presentation  skills.  
• Openness  to  new  ideas,  continuous  search  for  improved  best  practices,  ambition  to  
get  better  every  day.  
• English  language  skills  in  both  verbal  and  written  form.  
 
 
Duties  and  Responsibilities  
• Development  of  technical  solutions  in  the  area  of  expertize,  incorporating  business  
needs  and  taking  holistic  view  from  all  the  technical  aspects,  including  existing  and  
proposed  hardware,  platforms,  middleware,  applications  and  product  deployments.  
• Take  lead  in  implementing  and  supporting  proposed  solutions.  
• Analyze   and   troubleshoot   systems   and   its   performance,   reliability,   scalability,   and  
security  aspects.  
• Resolve  escalated  issues  from  the  customer  support  organizations,  including  further  
escalation  to  vendor  technical  support  organization  when  needed.  
• Support  Level  1  Engineers  and  technical  pre-­‐sales  teams.  
• Ability  to  travel,  occasionally  work  non-­‐business  hours,  and  stay  reachable  24/7.
