The teacher will call a pupil and
recall the topic last meeting
which is about Objects. The
teacher will allow the students to
choose pictures from a camera
box.

B. ENGAGE
The teacher will play a short
music entitled: “Earth” (Tuned:
Mary Had a Little Lamp). Then
the teacher will ask the students
to join for their sing.

Earth is a beautiful place Where
man comfortably lives There are
water and trees Land, human
and fish (2x)

After singing the song the


teacher will ask the following
question:

1. What is the song all about?


2. Do you agree that the earth is
beautiful?
3. Do you see water, trees, land,
human and fish in the Earth?
4. Do you want to know the living
things and non-living things in
the Earth?

C. EXPLORE

The teacher will ask the pupils if


what are the things that they see
in the picture and The teacher
will ask the pupils to categorize
the things they see in the picture
as either living things or non-
living things. They will simply
place the pictures on the table
provided for each group.

D. EXPLAIN
The teacher will ask the pupils to
guess the lesson for today
based on their activities a while
back. After the pupils guessed
the lesson, the teacher will write
on the board and let the pupils
read it. The teacher will ask the
pupils what do they want to learn
about the lesson?
The teacher will introduce the
topic which is Living things and
Non-Living things.

Living things- all living things are


breathe, eat, grow, move,
reproduce and have senses.
EXAMPLE

Non-Living Things- are things


that are not alive. They do not
move, grow. They do not need
food.
E. ELABORATE
The teacher will let the pupils
play a game which is the “Pass
the ball”. She needs throw the
ball to anybody. When he/she
heard the music he/she needs to
pass it and when it stops, the
one who is holding the ball need
to answer that is being asked to
him/her.
Here are the following question
to the game:
 What do you call to those
things in surroundings that can
be move, grow, eat and
reproduce.

 What do you call to those


things in surroundings that are
not alive?
 Give an example of living
things.
 Give an example of non-living
things.

F. EXTEND
The teacher prepared an activity
entitled: “Take a Tour Around”.
The pupils are grouped into 2.
They will go to the garden and
list down the things that they will
see and categorize them to living
things and non-living things. If
going to the garden is not
possible, the teacher will just
provide a picture of garden.

Here are the actual instructions


of the activity. The teacher will
explain it first to the pupils.

4. Complete the chart and write
it on the manila paper the show
or present in the class.
Setting of Standards:
Before starting the activity, the
teacher will remind the pupils on
what they should do while they
are doing the activity. The pupils
are anticipated to answer the
following:
 Avoid touching the plants.
 Avoid smelling and picking
flowers.
Cooperate with your group
mates.

Reporting of Pupils’ Output


The pupils are expected to
present their work in class. The
teacher will let the pupils watch
the videos.

G. EVALUATE
Directions: Classify if it is living
things or non-living things and
