Good day everyone, we are college students.

Today we are going to show you the different attractions

here in the city. Firstly, we are going to the park. There are so many things that we will see on that park,
there are trees, strays cats and dogs, and a lot of people enjoying the relaxing vibe of the park.

This Park was named in recognition of the province’s glorious past and its contribution to the country’s
quest for freedom and democracy during the last world war. It was designed by prominent American
architect who also designed government buildings during the American Colonial Period.

Coming from the name “Freedom Park” , this is where families, friends, lovers or anyone, gather to
freely spend quality time. Also, students go here to practice their particular practical works or
performances. Squads also pick this place to have some talk about themselves and families visit the park
especially with their little ones to play and enjoy the playgrounds indicated inside the park.

Our second destination will be the cathedral.

History

The Cabanatuan church was founded in 1700 as a visita of Gapan. The parish administration was
transferred to secular priests in 1866, and in the same year, the first stone church and convent buildings
were constructed. The buildings were destroyed by an earthquake in 1880 and were reconstructed in
1891. During the Philippine–American War, the cathedral's convent served as the seat of the capital of
the Philippines where Antonio Luna and his aide-de-camp, Francisco Román, were killed by the
members of the Kawit Battalion on June 5, 1899. The church was razed by fire in 1934, and again in
1972, with the reconstruction being finished in 1975

Features and Significance

The cathedral is a beautiful church with a mix of modern and old designs. It is near the place where
General Antonio Luna was killed, making it a historic Cabanatuan cathedral. The church is quite unique
because of its architectural style, which is a blend of modern and old designs. Masses are frequent at
the cathedral, making it a popular destination for Catholics.
