I am delighted to announce the imminent arrival of our eighth annual flagship event, BGC8, scheduled for the 3rd of
Atul Chadha Ram Mohan Agarwal February 2024. This mega gathering is a testament to the strength of our community, bringing together experts, alumni,
Director Director and enthusiasts from diverse fields. It is an occasion to forge not just professional ties but lifelong connections that

In 2021, BITOSA GLOBAL, a Section 8 nonprofit, was formally launched with seven registered chapters across NCR, Bangalore, Silicon Valley, Pune, Kolkata, Gujarat, and Jaipur. Initially registered in 2012, our
inauguration in Bangalore received blessings from the BIT College Dean and Representatives.
We're expanding with upcoming chapters in Patna, Odisha, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and internationally in Dubai, UK, and more. These chapters, with nearly three decades of successful operation, now unite under
one umbrella, empowering us to make a significant difference.

BITOSA Global like to Congratulate Our very own alumni, G. Jagadeesh, a student of KPJ Reddy is receiving the highest honor in
our home state of Karnataka for his remarkable contributions to Science and Technology. This award, though small in size, holds
immense value when it comes from your roots.

Congratulations to Professor Jagadeesh on this well-deserved achievement! This is just the beginning, and there are even
greater accomplishments waiting for you on the global stage.

On a personal note, today is extra special because both this year's Rajyotsava Award recipients, Prof. Jagadeesh and ISRO
Chairman S. Somanath, are students of Dr. Reddy Our esteemed alumni. The hypersonics and shock wave research group at IISc
is bursting with pride as we celebrate Prof. Jagadeesh's remarkable accomplishment.

Sanjeeva Singh, an esteemed alumnus of BITOSA Global from the 1983-87 batch, has played a pivotal role as the High-
Performance Director of India's archery team at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, where the team secured an
impressive nine medals.

An accomplished Olympian, recipient of the Arjuna and Dronacharya awards, Sanjeeva, a former national champion in compound
archery, also provided mentorship to the Indian compound archery team, leading them to a historic gold medal at the world
championships in Berlin.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Sanjeeva Singh on this remarkable achievement and wish him continued success in
his endeavors.

Dr. Ramjee Prasad Honored in an Evening of Excellence!
BITOSA Global Celebrates Brilliance

BITOSA Global is delighted to extend its warmest congratulations to Dr.

Ramjee Prasad, a distinguished alumnus of BIT Mesra, holding M.Tech and
Ph.D. degrees. The celebration of excellence was graced by the presence of
H.E. Freddy Svane, the Honorable Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark,
serving as the Chief Guest. Dr. Ramjee Prasad, a renowned Professor and
recipient of the Emigrants Indian Honor Award, was honored as the
esteemed Guest of Honor for the evening.

The event also welcomed distinguished guests, including Prof. Peter

Lindgren, VP CITF-CGC, Skagen Education Centre, Denmark, Mr. Amit
Deshmukh, Director Global Projects - MMJP PR New Delhi, and Ms. Antje
Stiebitz, India Reporter in New Delhi, Germany. This gathering brought
together accomplished individuals from various fields to celebrate Dr.
Ramjee Prasad's remarkable achievements and foster meaningful
connections.
We express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of
this memorable event! Following the celebration, a delightful lunch was
shared. The event took place on the 14th of November 2023.
BGBS 2023 Highlights: Soma Banerjee of Business Brio
Recognized, Vibrant Discussions, and Notable Achievements!

Exciting Moments at Bengal Global Business Summit 2023 where Soma Banerjee, Co-founder
and CEOCo-founder and CEO, Business Brio, Recognised NASSCOM women Entrepreneur and a
part of BITOSA Global Community.
BGBS 2023 provided a platform to the industry leaders (including the Honorable Minister of
IT&E, Govt. of WB, Dr. Jayanta Nath Mukhopadhyaya (Dr. JNM), Chairman of WBEIDC, Heads of
Infosys Kolkata and STPI Kolkata - Manjit Nayak, and the Head of Nasscom Startup - East,
Arihant Kothari Madan Mohan Chakraborty) converged for insightful discussions on the latest
policies and updates shaping our future. The atmosphere was charged with positivity, reflecting
the collective energy of passionate participants.

A special shout-out to Business Brio for being prominently featured among the select
companies in the official BGBS brochure. Your accomplishments are a testament to the
excellence we strive for within our community.

standards, and focusing on building AI Talent.

Hands-on experience in Generative AI and in developing models using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning technologies (such as Keras,
TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure ML, AWS ML, Scikit, Jupyter, etc.). Developed and proficient in algorithms on regression modeling (linear/logistic), supervised and
unsupervised classification, tree-based techniques (Decision trees /Random forest), neural nets, bagging, boosting techniques, Natural Language Processing
(NLP), etc.

BITOSA Bangalore's Diwali Milan: A Night to Remember!

It was an evening filled with energy, laughter, and cherished memories as over 40 BIT alumni and their families came together to kickstart the Diwali festivities. From
batches spanning the 60s to 2K10, we celebrated the spirit of togetherness.
Under the dynamic leadership of Priya Ranjan Belwariar, an 81-batch alumnus of BIT
Mesra, our new executive team was introduced. Also, he was one of the founders of the
HAM club. His batch even contributed to the equipment used by subsequent batches.

TechBIT Unveiled:
Exciting news - BITOSA Bangalore announced "TechBIT," a series of quarterly meetup
events on technical topics featuring experts from our alumni network. The first one is
scheduled for January.

Memories and More:

We shared stories of hostel parties and how we managed to keep the superintendent at
bay during those events. Kamesh Rastogi, an 89-batch alumnus from the Mesra campus,
serenaded us with Kishore da's classics, making our resident KJ Videsh a tad insecure.
What was supposed to end at 10 stretched until past 11, thanks to the BITian spirit. The
party continued well into the night.

Rain or Shine:
Despite the rain, those who made it had an unforgettable time. For our friends who couldn't join, we missed you!

Fichtner Consulting Engineers at the Indo Nordic Water Forum
BITOSA Global extends its heartfelt congratulations to Shipra Dutta, Vice President at
Fichtner Consulting Engineers, a distinguished alumnus of BIT Mesra. Shipra's participation
in the 1st #IndoNordicWaterSeminar, organized by #INWF and #EmbassyofFinland, is truly
commendable. Her contributions to the discussions and the identification of actionable
steps are a testament to her commitment to water-related issues.

The Indo Nordic Water Forum serves as a crucial platform for uniting water stakeholders
from India and the Nordic region, and Shipra's involvement is pivotal in furthering the
forum's objectives. We also acknowledge the valuable initiative of Mr. Kimmo Lähdevirta,
the Ambassador of Finland to India, for hosting this event at his residence.
We'd like to give a special shout-out to #CEEW, the knowledge partner to the forum,
