HELD AT THE UNIVERVERSITY AUDITORIUM

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
10:00a.m - Fresh students assemble at the University Auditorium

10.10am - The College Secretary Procession of the Matriculating Students

into the University Auditorium and students takes their seats.

10.20am - All Head of Departments take their seats as will be indicated by

the College Secretary
The Assembly will rise as the Procession enters
10.30am - The Admission Officer leads the procession of the Acting Vice-
Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, University Librarian, Provosts and Deans to take
their seats.
The Assembly then takes their seats
10.35a.m - National Anthem and Osun Anthem
10.40am - The Registrar stands and invite the Ag. Vice-Chancellor to
declare the Matriculation Ceremony open by saying; “Ag. Vice Chancellor Sir,
you are invited to please declare the 2023/2024 Matriculation Ceremony
open”
10:45am - The Ag. Vice Chancellor rises to declare the Matriculation
Ceremony open by saying; “I declare the Matriculation Ceremony for the
2023/2024 academic session open”
10.50am - The Registrar stands and invite, the Degree Programmes Co-
ordinator to present all students for matriculation. The Degree Programmes Co-
ordinator will stand and Doff his Cap to the Ag. Vice-Chancellor by saying; “Ag.
Vice Chancellor Sir, he will then call on all the matriculating students to
please stand and remain standing”
10.55am - (i) The Registrar will lead the students in reading the
Matriculation Oath (all at once). (ii) The students after reading through the
Matriculation Oath will bow their heads by affirming their pledge of obedience
and loyalty to the University. They will then take their seats.
11.05am - The Registrar will invite the Ag. Vice Chancellor to deliver his
speech. Ag. Vice Chancellor Sir, you are hereby invited to deliver your
speech for this Matriculation Ceremony.
11.15am - The Registrar will invite the Ag. Vice Chancellor to declare the
Matriculation Ceremony closed by saying; “Ag. Vice Chancellor Sir, you are
hereby invited to declare the 2023/2024 Matriculation Ceremony closed”
The Ag. Vice Chancellor rises to declare the matriculation ceremony closed by
saying; “I hereby declare the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2023/2024
academic session closed”.
11.25am - Osun Anthem and National Anthem
11.30am - The recession will be in Reverse Order. The Assembly will
stand and remain standing until the procession has left.

All students are expected to download the programme, Matriculation Oath and bring same to the venue of the
Matriculation Ceremony.
