(Who this person is) I would like to talk about a remarkable foreigner I know who
speaks Vietnamese fluently. His name is John.
2
(Where he/she is from) He comes from the United States of America. John's
journey of mastering the Vietnamese language is truly impressive.
(How he/she learns Vietnamese) John loves Vietnam and its culture and his desire
is to learn the language. He initially started by taking Vietnamese language courses
at a local university. However, he quickly realized that to truly grasp the intricacies
of the language, he needed to immerse himself in the Vietnamese community. He
uses every opportunity to practice and engage in conversations with native
speakers. He would strike up conversations at local markets, cafes, and even on
public transportation. His determination to learn Vietnamese was
unwavering, and he embraced every chance to improve his language skills
(And explain why he/she can speak Vietnamese well) What sets John apart is
his willingness to learn colloquial expressions and idioms. He understands that
language is more than just grammar and vocabulary; it's about capturing the
essence and nuances of a culture. John would often shadow Vietnamese friends,
carefully observing their mannerisms, gestures, and expressions. Another factor
contributing to John's proficiency in Vietnamese is his ability to adapt to different
accents and dialects. Vietnam is a linguistically diverse country, with various
regional accents and dialects. John made a conscious effort to expose himself to
these different linguistic variations. He listened to Vietnamese music, watched
Vietnamese movies and TV shows, and engaged with people from different
regions. This exposure helped him develop an ear for the subtleties of the
language, enabling him to understand and communicate with people from all walks
of life

I am going to talk about a woman whom I have never met before but she has had a
great influence on me. She is Ms. Phoebe Tran, host of 8IELTS programs which
are well -known on Youtube currently.
I met her in a seminar about IELTS strategies for candidates a couple of months
ago.
On that day, she was a speaker sharing her experiences and tips in order to be
successful in the IELTS exam. At this seminar, besides asking for pieces of advice
in learning IELTS, I asked her about her real life experiences, since I was
extremely keen to know how she had become a successful career woman and how
much effort she has had to make to achieve her success. She was very friendly and
approachable, far more than I expected, in fact. She was willing to share her ideas
and answer all my questions. I felt that she really wanted to inspire me by her
example.
She must be one of the most energetic, inspirational speakers I have ever met so
far. Now I have sufficient confidence to overcome all obstacles and reach my
goal. She is a truly a role model for me and the young generation to look up to,
and that’s why I want to know more about her. And so I think I will continue to
follow her on the internet and when she gives lectures

I would like to talk about my friend, Sarah, who I believe is exceptional at

welcoming visitors. I first met Sarah during our university orientation three years
ago, and since then, I have been amazed at her hospitality.
Sarah has a natural warmth and friendliness that makes people feel comfortable
and valued.Whenever she welcomes visitors, whether it's at her home or a social
gathering, she goes out of her way to ensure they feel at ease. I vividly remember
the first time I met her; she greeted me with a genuine smile and offered a friendly
handshake, instantly making me feel welcome.
Her welcoming gestures extend beyond just polite greetings. Sarah pays attention
to the little details, such as offering a cup of tea or showing genuine interest in the
visitors' well-being. She is adept at engaging in meaningful conversations, making
the visitors feel like they are an essential part of the gathering.
What set Sarah apart from welcoming visitors is ability to create a positive and
inclusive atmosphere. She has a way of connecting people from diverse
backgrounds, making them feel a sense of belonging. Her open- mindedness and
her non-judgmental attitude contribute to the welcoming environment she
effortlessly creates.
In my opinion, Sarah’s welcoming nature stems from her genuine kindness and
consideration for others. She values the importance of making people feel valued
and respected, and this quality makes her exceptionally good at welcoming
visitors. I believe her welcoming skills not only reflect her personality but also
contribute to fostering a sense of community wherever she goes.
