ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR FIVE-YEAR INTEGRATED

PROGRAMME IN MANAGEMENT (IPM) BATCH OF 2024-2029

Admission to Integrated Programme in management of IIM Ranchi will be based on


performance of candidates in the Aptitude Test (IPMAT), Personal Interview (PI) and their
Academic profile. The PI process will be conducted by IIM Ranchi. The shortlisting criteria,
weightage for different components and the profile scoring method are given below.

All candidates applying for IPM program of IIM Ranchi would also have to fill an online
application form on the IIM Ranchi website, which will be used for further evaluation.

I. Initial shortlisting for PI Process

An initial shortlist (from the list of applicants) shall be prepared comprising of candidates who
will be eligible for the PI process for admission to the IPM 2024-29 batch of IIM Ranchi. This
shortlist will be purely based on performance of the applicants in IPMAT 2024 (conducted by
IIM Indore). 50% Weightage will be given to Verbal Ability Marks & 50% weightage will be
given to Quants (Quants MCQ & Quants SA Combined).

II. PI Process

The PI process will be conducted in physical mode at New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai,
Bangalore & Ranchi. More information about the PI and the dates for the same would be
communicated to shortlisted candidates in due course.

III. Final Admissions 2024-29

A Consolidated Merit List (CML) would be compiled on the basis of Admission Test Score,
PI Score, and Academic Profile Score based on the overall academic performance at the
secondary and the higher secondary levels, as mentioned below:

After the PI, a Consolidated Merit List (CML) would be compiled on the basis of the following
components and their corresponding weights:

Admission Test Score 50% #
PI Score 30%
Academic Profile 20%
Gender Diversity (Bonus Points) * 5%
Total 100%

*Bonus points are added to the candidate’s score and not to the total.
# 25% Weightage will be given to Verbal Ability Marks & 25% weightage will be given to
Quants (Quants MCQ & Quants SA Combined).

The details of the above-mentioned components are given below:

(a) Score in IPMAT

50% weightage is assigned to the IPMAT score of the candidates.

(b) PI Score

The weightage assigned for Personal Interview (PI) score is 30%.

(c) Academic Profile

The weightage assigned to Academic Profile is 20%.

The evaluation will be based on academic background in SSC and HSC as per the table
below:

5 marks will be added to female and transgender candidates only. These points will be added
on to the composite score at the very last stage of evaluation. These are bonus points added to
a candidate’s score and not to the total (i.e., 100 points)

The Admission Criteria for IPM 2024-29 may be revised before the declaration of results.

The Consolidated Merit List (CML) would be compiled on the basis of IPMAT 2024 – IIM
Indore test score, PI Score, and Academic Profile Score based on the overall academic
performance at the secondary and the higher secondary levels.

Reservation Policy:
IIM Ranchi will apply Government of India reservation policy for admission to Central
Educational Institutions (CEIs).

IIM Ranchi reserves the right to change, modify, add or delete any shortlisting and selection
criteria as well as any other information in the admissions criteria document for IPM
programme, if considered necessary at any point of time. The details contained in this
document are applicable only to IPM programme shortlisting, selection and admissions
process of IIM Ranchi for the batch of 2024- 29.

Any dispute concerning Admissions to IPM Batch 2024-29 would be subject to jurisdiction
of the competent Courts within the territorial jurisdiction of city of Ranchi only.
