1. Based in my research problem, KAHALAGAHAN NG PANITIKANG FILIPINO
SA PAGPAPAUNLAD NG KRITIKAL NA PAG-IISIP NG MGA MAG-AARAL SA DON GREGORIO O. BALATAN INSTITUTE INC. The research method to investigate this problem is quantitative method like survey and statistical analysis, and qualitative method like interview, observations and content analysis to gather and analyse non-numerical data in order to gain an understanding of individuals' social reality, including understanding their attitudes, beliefs, and motivation. Descriptive design will use to describes a study or a topic. It defines the characteristics of the variable under research and answers the questions related to it. The etichal consideration will be by ensuring the confidentiality and by giving inform consent and putting integrity while conducting the research.
2. Considering my research problem, KAHALAGAHAN NG PANITIKANG
FILIPINO SA PAGPAPAUNLAD NG KRITIKAL NA PAG-IISIP NG MGA MAG- AARAL SA DON GREGORIO O. BALATAN INSTITUTE INC, the research method I will use is qualitative method and quantitative method . Qualitative methods allow for the collection of rich, detailed data through techniques such as interviews, focus groups, and observations. This depth of data can provide a nuanced understanding of how Filipino literature influences critical thinking among students. By using qualitative methods, I can explore the personal perceptions and experiences of students and educators. This can uncover diverse viewpoints on the importance and impact of Filipino literature on critical thinking. Quantitative methods often involve structured tools such as surveys and tests, which can enhance the reliability and validity of my data. Consistent use of these tools ensures that the data I collect is both reliable. The potential biases or limitations associated with qualitative method is in managing and making sense of large amounts of unstructured data can be overwhelming. While in quantitative method the tools and instruments used for measurement can introduce bias if they are not valid or reliable. UNIVERSITY OF SAINT ANTHONY (Dr.Santiago G. 3. Based on your research problem, this is my research question
Ano ang profayl ng mga mag-aaral mula sa Baitang 10 ng Don
Gregorio O. Balatan Institute Inc. batay sa: a. Edad? b. Kasarian? c. Seksyon?
The mixed-methods approaches combining both quantitative and
qualitative techniques the methodology I will use. The type of data I will collect are using surveys to collect numeric data and follow-up interviews to gather deeper insights. Descriptive statistics I will use to summarize and describe the characteristics of a data set. Examples include measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode and graphical representations). It will help also in distribution of data, aiding in the interpretation and communication of research findings. It will help in drawing conclusions from my study by providing a summary of the data, which makes it easier to understand large amounts of information.
4. My specific research topic is “naglalayong tuklasin ang mga dulot at
kahalagahan ng pag-aaral ng Panitikang Filipino sa pagpapaunlad ng kritikal na pag-iisip ng mga mag-aaral mula sa Baitang 10 ng Don Gregorio O. Balatan Institute Inc.” the the data collection methods I would use for this topic are survey, likert scale, interview and observations. Survey, involve a set of questions presented in written form, which respondents answer based on their own experiences, opinions, attitudes, or demographics. Surveys can be UNIVERSITY OF SAINT ANTHONY (Dr.Santiago G. Ortega Memorial) City of Iriga 4431, Philippines

administered in various ways, such as online, via mail, or in person.
Interviews involve direct interaction between a researcher (interviewer) and a participant (interviewee). This method allows for in-depth exploration of the participant's experiences, opinions, or knowledge on a particular topic. A Likert scale is a type of rating scale commonly used in surveys to measure attitudes or opinions. Respondents are presented with a statement and a range of responses that indicate their level of agreement or disagreement with the statement (e.g., strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree). I can be either participant observers or non-participant observers. This method is valuable for studying behaviors, interactions, or settings where direct experience provides critical insights that cannot be captured through surveys or interviews alone. To ensure reliability and validity, use standardized procedures, pilot testing, and triangulation of data sources. Regularly calibrate instruments and train data collectors. Potential challenges include participant bias, response variability, and technical issues with data collection tools.
