Pick out ten new words from these stories. Make a beautiful Pictionary by
writing these words, their meaning and a picture related to the word.

Social Development
Summer vacation is probably the best time of the year for you all; it’s time
for loads of fun, though we can't go out but getting pampered to no end and,
of course, bonding with distant cousins can be done virtually.
School is fun too, with learning happening at all times. Summer vacation can
also be a time for learning with lots of activities around.

Here are a few tasks for you to complete during the vacation. Do
remember to complete the given tasks after reading them carefully.
Some tips to make this holiday special:
 • A family dinner every day of the holidays.
• Play board games with your parents and siblings and show them who is
the smartest.
• Spend some quality time with an elderly person in the family.

Writing Skills development-

*Kindly encourage handwriting practice on a DAILY basis with emphasis on
neatness and proper formation of letters.
 *Help your child to do Surya Namaskar and Aerobics every morning.

• Encourage your child to watch informative programmes or movies on

television.
• Encourage your child to draw, colour, cut and paste. This improves
their creativity!
• Help them to revise all the concepts done so far.
• Water the plants around your house.

DOS AND DON'TS FOR A HEALTHIER SUMMER

Dear children as the days are getting hotter and evenings becoming
more uncomfortable, you need to tweak your daily routine a bit. We
bring you some easy do's and don'ts for a healthier summer. Have a
safe summer this season.

• Eat Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

• Drink Enough Water
• Take a Shower Twice a Day
 • Apply Sunscreen
• Choose your Clothes Wisely. Say no to black and try wearing lighter
shades during summer.
• Say no to Fast Food and Sugary drinks.
• Do Not Drink Unclean Water.
• Avoid Going Outside during Noon.
• Avoid extensive physical activity.

THEME- DELIGHTFUL TOY

EVS-
• Make a delightful toy with eco-friendly materials available around your
surroundings.

• Prepare a model or project on sense organs. Sample reference has been

given here or you can use your creativity.

Learning outcome-
*Children will learn about the importance and functions of five sense organs.
ENGLISH-
Write about your experience of making your delightful toy (4- 5 lines)

Learning outcome-
Children will enhance their vocabulary, use words to frame grammatically
correct sentences and involve themselves in imaginative thinking.
MATHS-
*Write counting from 1 to 50 in Mathematics notebook.

*Write the number names from 1 to 50 in Mathematics notebook neatly.

* Create a colourful picture by combining different shapes on A4 size

sheet. The pictures can be a scenery, robot, animal etc.
Learning outcome- Children will be able to recognize and identify numbers
from 1 to 50.Understand the concept of place value up to tens and ones for
numbers 1 to 50.Practice counting forwards and backwards from 1 to
50.Learn to read and write numbers from 1 to 50 in numeric and word form.
Compare and order numbers from 1 to 50.

Learning outcome-Children will be conversant with alphabets and at the same
time develop the habit of going through the moral story to learn words
related to the letters.

 ACTIVITY TIME
Material Required-
• Disposable spoons (wooden) as per the number of family members.
• Colorful paper
• Wool of different colours.
• Googly eyes
• Fevicol glue stick
• Child friendly scissors
• Black marker / black sketch pen
• Small pot / any old mug

Method:

• Paste googly eyes on the spoon.

• Use black sketch pen / marker to draw facial features.
• Paste wool on the spoon to make hair.
• Cut the coloured sheet in different shapes to make the body and
dress of family members. (As shown in the picture).
• Cover the pot / old mug with coloured sheets and decorate it.
• Place all the stick puppets in this pot.
• Count and write the number of family members on the pot.
• Learn any incident / real story of your family and narrate it.

Take printouts, staple together and keep in a paper bag. Label it legibly
