Goal: Create a document that promotes awareness of a disease or abnormality related to the tissues, organs, and organ systems of humans for your school. You are to research, design, and create a document using 3 sources from reputable websites or books. Possible Formats: poster, pamphlet, or PowerPoint presentation organized as you wish. Be sure to include diagrams, drawings, and facts with your answers. Your assignment must have 5 Sections: 1. The name of the disease, both common name and scientific name. 2. The cause of the disease. Which tissues, organs, and organ systems are affected? What is the cause of this disease or abnormality? What are the symptoms of a person with this disease or abnormality? 3. The medical imaging technology that is used to diagnose or treat the disease. What technology is used to diagnose or treat your disease or abnormality? Why is this technology used for your disease or abnormality?
Examples of medical imaging technologies: ultrasound X-rays computerized axial tomography [CT or CAT] scan magnetic resonance imaging [MRI] microscopy biophotonics

4. The methods used by doctors to prevent the disease or abnormality What are things that people can do to prevent themselves from getting the disease? Is there anything? How easy is it for people to access or use the prevention methods?
