Hello LE students!

You all have such a brilliant imagination, now

is the time to use it! We are going to apply
that creativity in our weekly writing
assignment to compose complete story.

The focus will be on the story’s plot, best defined as the order of events taking
place. The plot can be described as a “Story Mountain,” and it includes the
characters/setting, challenges, climax, and finally a resolution! We have mild,
medium, and spicy graphic organizers, including story mountains, to help you
organize and put your ideas onto paper. Choose your best fit! Afterwards, you are
encouraged to put it all together in a complete story. Lined journal paper is
provided at the end of this document as an option as well.

A few creative writing prompts are listed below for ideas but feel free to use your own!

1. Write a story about your travels to outer space or a galaxy far far away. What did you see?
Where did you go?

2. What would you do if you had a dinosaur as a pet? What would you feed it and where would
you keep it? Don’t forget, dinosaurs have names too!

3. Imagine you are a scientist and you have created a new potion. In a brief paragraph write
what your potion does. Describe its power and how you can use it to help the world.
