Profile

Ananya Anand Srinivasan is a Year 4 Undergraduate Medical Student at Sri Ramachandra


Medical College, Porur, Chennai. Ever since the age of 8, she has shown keen interest in
Literature and Poetry. She has published 4 books – 2 of which are based on Culture and
Heritage. Her first book titled ‘Ananya’s Creations for Jubilant Juniors’ was released during
2013 by Miss Arya Rajam, author of ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears. She has been actively involved
in the Club activities as the Organising Head of the English Literary Club, SRIHER. She has
also co-authored a book that has been ISO Certified- ‘Sway of the Little Pen Tip’. Her passion
for Medicine, is immaculate as she enjoys every Year of her journey with a new perspective
‘Experience translates what is often seen as a happy emotion. Ananya believes that one
learns a lot this field by making errors and correcting those errors, however meagre they
may be. She enjoys singing, reading fiction and Debating. She has been encouraged by her
family and friends as they form a conduit of Positivity while she nears the end of her
Academia. Her Professors- her Gurus as she fondly calls them, have been very instrumental
in guiding her in every step of her journey, as she cherishes the opportunities given to her.

She recently had been selected to undergo an Observership Training Programme,


Department of Neurosurgery and Neurological Sciences, at the LTHT (Leeds Teaching
Hospitals) as a part of the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between Sri Ramachandra
Medical College & University of Leeds, United Kingdom during the month of June, 2023.

Ananya would like to extend her special thanks to Dr. Latha Rengachari, Nairobi, Kenya,
who’s an Independent Consultant working for the United Nations. She’s an Editor and
Translator and has several publications to her credit.
