can help in "regulating emotions, improving mood, and enhancing productivity and

concentration. Listening to a favorite song releases a chemical in the brain that can help

stave off depression. Music can help people sleep better.

Music has also been shown to improve focus and attention and boost mental performance

upbeat music. But steer clear of songs with a lot of lyrics. Those can be distracting.
