opinion.
It is common that it is essential to include Physical Education classes in the
curriculum for all school-age children. However, others think that children’s time
is better spent on more academic subjects. Both views about this problem will be
discussed in this essay.
Some people think that it is important to have Physical Education classes in the
curriculum for all school-age children because of some reasons. Firstly, doing
Physical Education can help children improve their health. They can avoid some
dangerous sicknesses like heart disease, diabetes, stroke, etc. Besides, they will get
more energy for study, be stronger, healthier. Secondly, doing P.E creates healthy
habits. They can spend much time on good habits like getting up early, and having
breakfast on time. Besides, they can avoid a lot of bad habits staying up late,
drinking beer, playing online too much,… Finally, doing Physical Education can
help them release stress in studying. They can have many opportunities to meet a
lot of people and make new friends. Therefore, they can become happier, feel more
comfortable, confident and get high results in studying, and realize their talents.
On the other hand, other people believe that children should spend time on more
main subjects because of some reasons. Firstly, a lot of schools still lack sport
equipment. Classrooms or practicing rooms do not have enough standards so
studying and practicing are not effective. Besides, students can easily get injuries if
facilities too old. Secondly, doing Physical Education can distract students from
main subjects. They spend more time on extra subjects and less time for main
subjects so they can get bad results in studying. Finally, students have no time for
entertaining. As a result, students will get stressed and some health problems such
as lack of sleep, and headaches.
In conclusion, it is essential to include Physical Education classes in the curriculum
for all school-age children. In my opinion, including some physical education ideas
in the syllabus for all school-age children, will be a fruitful change for the whole
society.
