UAS Analysis Of EFL Curiculum

Questions:

1. How important atextbook in the class (especially in this Internet era)?


2. Why does textbook still widely use? Give your reasons.
3. How can we decide the ideal textbook for students?
4. In Indonesia, some of student’s textbook for English subject still wtitten in Indonesian
language , according to you, should we change in into full English? Why or why not?
5. In Indonesia, especially in our province, students are olso provided a workbook (LKS) as their
worksheet, meanwhile, some of them us it as thei only textbook for studying English. Does it
work for them? Why or why not?

Answer:

1. Very important because as a means of certainty about what they learn,


Textbooks will help students to know what students are going to learn,
Control tool to find out how much and how far they have mastered the subject matter,
In textbooks there are chapter-by-chapter evaluation questions and every few chapters and
per-indicator exercises. Can also be used as a tool to measure students' ability to master
subject matter in terms of student cognitive, Attract the attention of students with pictures,and
Foster student interest in reading.

2. Because textbooks have an important role in teaching and learning activities. Text books play
a role as instructional material or instructional media that are dominant during teaching-
learning activities take place, In other words, the book is useful for delivering curriculum
material. The existence of learning texts is so important that they are prioritized and utilized
as student companions in developing their own thinking power. Without books such as texts,
students will have difficulty in learning, both in class and independently. So, the book can be
said to be the main grip of students, both from elementary to tertiary level as well as from
public or private schools.

3. Which is in accordance with the curriculum, syllabus, KI and KD.

4. Not. do not have to change because, Indonesian is a preface to make it easier for children to
quickly understand English.

5. It is quite successful because students can organize answers with their own thoughts.Can avoid
the nature of stress in answering questions.
Train students to choose facts relevant to the problem, and organize it so that it can be
expressed into a single integrated thought.The answers given are expressed in words and
sentences that are compiled by themselves, so it is training to arrange sentences in good,
correct and fast language. Problem form description is appropriate for measuring analytic,
synthetic and evaluative abilities.
