Basic CQI optimization //: Summary of CQI optimization special topic improvement plan (very
practical)

frequency selective switch

This switch controls whether to activate the frequency selective scheduling function. When this switch is
on, users can transmit data on the frequency band with good channel quality. This parameter only
applies to FDD and TDD.

MOD CELLALGOSWITCH:LOCALCELLID=X,DLSCHSWITCH=FreqSelSwitch-1;

PUCCH power control DTX SINR optimization processing switch

When the switch is off, the eNB will not process the SINR measured in the DTX state when the PUCCH
power control detects DTX; when the switch is on, when the PUCCH power control detects DTX, the eNB
will still process the measured SINR, generate a power control command word and send it to UE. This
parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

MOD CELLALGOSWITCH:LOCALCELLID=X,ULPCALGOSWITCH=PucchPcDtxSinrSwitch-1;

CQI cycle adaptive switch

This parameter represents the CQI cycle adaptive switch. If set to on, the CQI period is configured
adaptively based on the cell air interface load; if set to off, the CQI period is configured using
UserCqiPeriod. This parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

When the CQI cycle adaptive switch is turned off, a fixed configuration is used. This parameter indicates
the CQI cycle in the fixed configuration. It only takes effect when the CQI cycle adaptive switch is turned
off. When the UserCqiPeriod configuration value is 2ms, for a TDD cell, the cell automatically changes
the value to 5ms. This parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

MOD CELLCQIADAPTIVECFG:LOCALCELLID=X,CQIPERIODADAPTIVE=OFF,USERCQIPERIOD=ms160;

Switch aperiodic CQI configuration switch

This parameter controls the switching of user aperiodic CQI resource configuration and the triggering of
aperiodic CQI reporting. When this parameter is configured to ON, aperiodic CQI resources are
configured in the handover command. For users who do not configure periodic CQI, an aperiodic CQI
report is triggered when there is downlink service after the handover is completed; when this parameter
is configured to OFF, non-periodic CQI resources are not configured in the handover command. Periodic
CQI resources, non-periodic CQI configuration is performed after the handover is completed. This
parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

MOD CELLCQIADAPTIVECFG:LOCALCELLID=X,HOAPERIODICCQICFGSWITCH=ON;
CQI optimization algorithm switch

This parameter is used to control whether the CQI optimization algorithm on PUCCH and PUSCH is
enabled.

PUSCH CQI false detection algorithm switch: This parameter is used to control whether the associated
path CQI false detection algorithm on PUSCH is enabled. When the switch is turned on, it means that the
PUSCH path-associated CQI false detection optimization algorithm is turned on, which can effectively
reduce the probability of CQI false detection (UE does not send CQI, but the eNodeB detects CQI); when
the switch is turned off, it means that the PUSCH path-associated CQI false detection is turned off
optimization. This parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

PUCCH CQI false detection algorithm switch: This parameter is used to control whether the PUCCH CQI
false detection algorithm is turned on. When the switch is turned on, it means that the PUCCH CQI false
detection algorithm switch is turned on; when the switch is turned off, it means that the PUCCH CQI
false detection algorithm switch is turned off. This parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

MOD CELLCQIADJALGO:LOCALCELLID=X,CQIOPTSWITCH=PUCCH_CQI_FALSE_DETECTION_SW-1;

Normalized PDSCH power offset

Impact on wireless network performance: The larger the setting of this parameter, the greater the CQI
value reported by some terminals for single or double codewords, and the larger the Rank2 ratio; the
smaller the setting of this parameter, the higher the value of CQI reported for single or double
codewords by some terminals. The smaller, the lower the Rank2 ratio (if CQI statistics are not
distinguished between single and double codewords, the CQI statistical results may not change because
of the change in Rank ratio).
When this parameter is modified to a non-0 value, the reported value of CQI/Rank may be inconsistent
with the downlink channel quality, and the downlink MCS and bit errors may change, affecting the
downlink user perception rate and cell throughput rate.

When the "User Signaling MCS Enhancement Switch" is turned off and this parameter is modified to a
value other than 0, the call drop rate, access success rate, and handover success rate will not be
affected. "User signaling MCS enhancement switch" is turned on. When the actual value of this
parameter is greater than 0, it may have a negative impact on the signaling KPI.

MOD CELLDLPCPDSCHPA: LocalCellId=X, NomPdschRsEpreOffset=3;

Pucch power control cycle

The smaller the parameter setting, the faster the PUCCH power adjustment, but the higher the
probability of ping-pong adjustment; the larger the parameter setting, the slower the PUCCH power
adjustment, but the lower the probability of ping-pong adjustment.

MOD CELLPCALGO:LOCALCELLID=X,PUCCHPCPERIOD=1;

Pucch power control target SINR bias

The smaller the setting of this parameter, the smaller the PUCCH power of users in this cell, and the
smaller the PUCCH interference to other users in this cell and users in neighboring cells; the larger the
setting of this parameter, the greater the PUCCH power of users in this cell, and the smaller the PUCCH
interference to other users in this cell. The greater the PUCCH interference with neighboring cell users.

MOD CELLPCALGO:LOCALCELLID=X,PUCCHPCTARGETSINROFFSET=10;
Dynamic adjustment switch for the number of OFDM symbols occupied by PDCCH

This parameter indicates the dynamic adjustment switch for the number of OFDM symbols occupied by
the PDCCH. Set to OFF to indicate that symbol adaptation is off and the number of available PDCCH
symbols of the system is fixed; set to ON to indicate that symbol adaptation is on and the system adjusts
the number of PDCCH symbols according to the CCE requirements of PDCCH. The dynamic adjustment
range of the number of symbols refers to the parameter "PDCCH Initial OFDM MML help for "Number of
Symbols"; set to ECFIADAPTIONON to indicate that enhanced symbol adaptation is on. The system
optimally adjusts the number of PDCCH symbols based on the downlink throughput rate. For the
dynamic adjustment range of the number of symbols, refer to the MML help for the parameter "Initial
Number of PDCCH OFDM Symbols". When the sub-switch EMTC_SWITCH of the EmtcAlgoSwitch
parameter in CellEmtcAlgo is turned on and modifying this parameter causes the value of the
startSymbolBR-r13 cell to change, connected eMTC users in the cell will be actively released. This
parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

MOD CELLPDCCHALGO:LOCALCELLID=X,PDCCHSYMNUMSWITCH=ECFIADAPTIONON;

PUCCH nominal P0 value

Setting P0NominalPUCCH too high will increase interference from neighboring cells and reduce the
throughput of the entire network; setting P0NominalPUCCH too low will reduce interference to
neighboring cells, but will reduce the throughput rate of this cell.

MOD CELLULPCCOMM:LOCALCELLID=X,P0NOMINALPUCCH=-115;

DRX feature switch

When the switch is turned on, the UE is triggered to enter the DRX state, and the UE will save more
power. The impact on network performance is limited by the DRX parameter configuration. This
parameter does not take effect when dynamic DRX (only applicable to LTE) is enabled.

MOD DRX:DRXALGSWITCH=OFF;

CQI Reliability Optimization Switch

CQI reliability optimization switch: If the switch is turned on, more falsely detected CQIs can be
identified in interference scenarios and filled with historical CQI values; if the switch is turned off, falsely
detected CQIs will not be identified. This parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.

CQI false detection optimization switch in DRX: When the switch is turned on, the CQI values detected
during the running of DrxInactivityTimer triggered by SR false alarms are not counted in the
performance indicators; when the switch is turned off, the CQI values detected during the running of
DrxInactivityTimer triggered by SR false alarms Values are also calculated into performance metrics.

MIMO transmission mode adaptive switch

NO_ADAPTIVE (fixed configuration), OL_ADAPTIVE (open loop adaptation), CL_ADAPTIVE (closed loop
adaptation), OC_ADAPTIVE (open and closed loop adaptation)
The MIMO mode adaptation type parameter under multi-antenna eNodeB has four options, including:

Fixed configuration mode: Configure the MIMO mode according to the fixed MIMO mode selection
parameters, but will not trigger switching between MIMO modes.

Open-loop adaptive mode: The terminal only reports RANK and CQI, but does not report PMI.

Closed-loop adaptive mode: In addition to RANK and CQI, the terminal also needs to report PMI.

Open and closed loop adaptation mode: Configure the terminal to switch between open loop adaptation
and closed loop adaptation. This parameter only applies to FDD and TDD.
