DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN WORK PERIOD 1

LANGUAGE LITERACY
4TH GRADING PERIOD
Week 35 Day 2

Date: March 9,2020


I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, pupils are expected to:


 Identify different habitats where the animals live.
 Perform a group activity properly.
 Appreciate the different habitats where the animals live.

II. Subject Matter:

Habitats of the Animals: Land, water and air

A. Materials: Nursery rhymes, poster, picture of animals, plastic tray, evaluation


sheets
B. References: National Kindergarten Curriculum Guide

III. Procedure:

A. Preliminary Activities
1. Reviews:
“Animals in the Environment”

2. Motivation:
Play game: “Pass the Box”
The teacher will inform the pupils that they will be playing the game
“pass the box”

Mechanics of the game:


1. There are different pictures inside the mystery box.
2. The pupils will pass the mystery box while there’s music playing.
3. When the music stops, the one who is holding the box will pick out the
picture and post it on the board it is belong.

Lesson Proper:

1. Presentation
What is your favourite animal? And why?

2. Discussion:
Teacher: Who among you have been in the zoo?

Pupil: pupils will raise their hands

Teacher: Do you enjoy going to the zoo?

Pupil: yes teacher, I have seen different animals in the zoo.

Teacher: That’s very good! So tell me what are the animals that you see in
the zoo?

The Children will tell their teacher and classmates what are the different kind
of animals they have seen in the zoo.

Teacher: Very Good! But do you that every animal have a particular place
where they can live?

The teacher will show different place/habitat for different animals.

Land Water Air

Pupils will put the animals to their habitats.

3. Generalization:
Why do you think we need to know the different habitat of the animals?
