Materials
- 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- 5 different yarns calling for 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- stuffing
- 2 safety eyes 6 mm
MINI COW turns out at a size of 11 cm with the yarn I used (sockyarn). If you are choose other yarn with
smaller ore bigger gauge the dolls measurements will change. So you have to correct the eyes-size.

Muzzle
Make a loop with pink.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop. 6.-8. 30 sc (3 rounds)
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts) 9. (sc in next 3 st, sc2tog) 6x (24 sts)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts) 10. 24 sc
4. (sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc) 6x (24 sts) 11. (sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc) 6x (30 sts)
5. (sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc) 6x (30 sts) 12. 30 sc
Change color and continue with white.
Break yarn and leave enough yarn to sew the muzzle onto the head. Embroider with dark brown yarn 2 nostrils.
Head
Make a loop with white.
Fill the muzzle with stuffing material and sew it under round 5 of the head (see photo’s for reference). Make sure
the snout covers the magic loop of the head. Continue with the eyespots.

Eyespots
Make a loop with black.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop. 4. (sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc) 6x (24 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts) 5. (sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc) 6x (30 sts)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts)
Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to sew the pieces onto the head. Make another one. Place the
spots between round 10 of the muzzle and round 14 of the head with 4 sc between. (see photo’s for reference).
When the eyespots are sewn on the head remove the filling. Place safety eyes 1 row above the snout and 3 rows
from the edge of the eyespot. When its done fill the head again and continue with round 22 of the head.
Body
Make a loop with white.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop. 16. (sc in next 5 st, sc2tog) 6x (36 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts) 17.-18. 36 sc (2 rounds)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts) 19. (sc in next 4 st, sc2tog) 6x (30 sts)
4. (sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc) 6x (24 sts) 20.-21. 30 sc (2 rounds)
5. (sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc) 6x (30 sts) 22. (sc in next 3 st, sc2tog) 6x (24 sts)
6. (sc in next 4 st, 2sc inc) 6x (36 sts) 23.-25. 24 sc (3 rounds)
7. (sc in next 5 st, 2sc inc) 6x (42 sts) 26. (sc in next 2 st, sc2tog) 6x (18 sts)

Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to sew the head onto the body. Fill with stuffing material.

Legs
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts)
4. (sc in next 5 st, 2sc inc) 3x (21 sts)
5.-7. 21 sc (3 rounds)
Change color and continue with white.
8.-9. 21 sc (2 rounds)
10. (sc in next 5 st, sc2tog) 3x (18 sts)
11.-12. 18 sc (2 rounds)
13. (sc in next 4 st, sc2tog) 3x (15 sts)
14.-15. 15 sc (2 rounds)
16. (sc in next 3 st, sc2tog) 3x (12 sts)
17.-19. 12 sc (3 rounds)
After stuffing the leg sew or sc tog the 2 opposed st (sc 6) after it’s done cut the yarn while you ensure to leave
enough yarn to sew the legs onto the body. Make another one. Place the legs between round 3 and 6 of the body
(see photo for reference).
Hooves:
Fix a long piece of sand colored yarn stuck to the bottom of the foot (to row 7 of the leg). Then insert needle
through the top of the foot back and pull it tight. Repeat this one more time.
Arms
Make a loop with sand.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop. 10. (sc in next 4 st, sc2tog) 3x (15 sts)
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts) 11.-13. 15 sc (3 rounds)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts) 14. (sc in next 3 st, sc2tog) 3x (12 sts)
4.-6. 18 sc (3 rounds) 15.-17. 12 sc (3 rounds)
Change color and continue with white. 18. (sc in next 2 st, sc2tog) 3x (9 sts)
7.-9. 18 sc (3 rounds) 19.-22. 9 sc (4 rounds)
Fill the arms with soft stuffing and sew or sc tog the 2 opposed st (sc 4) after it’s done break yarn and make sure
you leave enough yarn to attach the arms to the body. Make another one. Sew the arms onto the body.

Ears
Make a loop with black.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 3x (9 sts)
3. 9 sc
4. (sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc) 3x (12 sts)
5. (sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc) 3x (15 sts)
6.-7. 15 sc (2 rounds)
8. (sc in next 3 st, sc2tog) 3x (12 sts)
9. (sc in next 2 st, sc2tog) 3x (9 sts)
Horns
Make a loop with sand.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 6 sc
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 3x (9 sts)
Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to sew the horns onto the head. Fill in some stuffing material
and make another one. Place the horns next to the ears.
Spots
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. (sc in next st, 2sc inc) 6x (18 sts)
4. 2 sc, 2 sc in next st, 1 hdc, 1 hdc + 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, 1 dc + 1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc, 2 sc in
next st, 1 hdc, 1 hdc + 1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, 1 dc + 1 hdc in next st, 1 hdc, 2 sc in next st, 3 sc
Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to sew the spots onto the body (one on the belly and one on
the back). Make another one.

Tail
Make with white a foundation chain of 11. Start in the 2th chain from hook and work 10 sc.
Break yarn and leave enough yarn to sew the tail onto the body. Add some fringe at the end of the tail.
Earmark
Make with yellow a foundation chain of 5. Start in the 2th chain from hook and work 4 sc.
Round:
2. 1 ch, turn work around, 4 sc
5. 1 ch, turn work around, 1 sc, 1 sc + 1 dc in next st, 1 dc + 1 sc in next st, 1 sc
Break yarn and leave enough yarn to sew the earmark onto the ear.
