Notes Band

Gauge:​ Gauge is flexible, as is the yarn weight Working with cream yarn:
you use. Simply adjust the number of sts in band Rnd 1: ​ch 25; starting in 2nd ch from hook - sc 23,
so the band is about 5.5 inches long. sc 3 in next st. Moving up the other side of chain -
Continuous Spiral​: yarn buttons are worked in a sc 22, inc in last ch. (50)
continuous spiral without joining. Use a st marker Rnd 2: ​inc, sc 22, inc, sc, inc, sc 22, inc, sc. (54)
to mark the last st of each rnd, moving the marker
Fasten off.

Yarn​: ear protectors will need to hold up to
repeated machine washing, so a cotton yarn is
recommended, but certainly not required.
Sizing​: the pattern will work for most, but can

Working with green yarn:

Head
Rnd 1:​ 6 sc into a magic ring. (6)
Rnd 2: ​using BLO - inc in each st around. (12)
Rnd 3: ​using FL left from previous rnd - inc in each
st around. (12)
Rnd 4: ​working though both sets of sts from rnds 3
and 4 - inc around. (24)
Rnd 5: *​sl into next st, ch 6; starting in 2nd ch from
hook - sl, sc, hdc, dc 2. Sk 2 sts from rnd 4, sl 8* x 2.
Sl 2 to finish the rnd. (29)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Cowl
Working with brown yarn:
R 1: ​ch 9; starting in 2nd ch from hook - sc 8. (8)
R 2: ​ch 1, turn; sc 8. (8)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
Yoda Buttons
Using black thread, create eyes of approx .25 in/ 5
mm in diameter, in line with the ears and approx .5
in/ 13 mm apart.
Wrap tails from beginning and end of cowl around
the head, just below ears, and attach cowl by going
through the back of head.
Pull on ears gently to make them symmetrical.
Yoda Buttons and Band
Using long tails left after fastening off buttons,
attach buttons securely at each end of band.
allowing room for mask elastic to fit under buttons.
Weave in ends.
