ACTIVITIES FOR GRADE 9 & 10 SCIENCE (JHS) , DISASTER READINESS AND RISK REDUCTION

Date: July 2, 2024

Grade 9: Justice Topic: Respiratory System

Activities: Flow chart

Flow chart making:

After reviewing the take-home video on the digestive system, create a

flowchart to visualize the process. Start with a symbol for "food intake" and
use rectangles to map the journey of food through the mouth, esophagus,
stomach, and intestines. Include diamonds for any important processes (like
digestion vs. elimination) and arrows to show the flow. Finish with an "End"
symbol for waste elimination. Keep your flowchart neat and clear.

RUBRIC FOR FLOWCHART:

Take home activity: Research

- Using trusted search engines, research on how the respiratory

system works hand-in-hand with the circulatory system.
- You can take your notes as you watch videos or read articles about
the concept.
