Inter House Game – Relay Race

Reporting Venue: Running track

Reporting Date & Time: Date: 8th July, Monday

Reporting time: 4.15 pm

Game Rule: 1) Runners are to wait behind the start line to receive the
baton from their teammates

2) The baton must be received within the passing zone.

3) No tossing of baton to teammate waiting in front

4) No crossing into other runners’ lanes

5) No pushing other runners

6) Dropping of baton results in a deduction of 2 points

7) Runners will run in alternate lanes

8) Runners walk quickly to the PE stand after passing the

baton

9) All runners must wear appropriate footwear and attire

10) Any sabotage attempts will result in immediate

disqualification

Other Information: Criteria and details:

- each house to send 8 students (4 j1s and 4 j2s)

- each person to run 200 m (0.5 rounds around track)

- j1 team: 4 runners x 200 m = 800 m

- j2 team: 4 runners x 4 rounds = 800 m

- total distance = 1.6 km per house

Scoring system

- 1st team - 4 points

- 2nd team - 3 points

- 3rd team - 2 points

- 4th team - 1 point

- J1 + J2 = total points

- If receive the baton outside the passing zone, 1 point will be

deducted from total points.
