ADMISSION TO AAMUSTED - 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR 1. We are pleased to inform you that on behalf of the Academic Board, the Joint Admissions Board has offered you admission to the Faculty of Education and Communication Sciences, Kumasi Campus of the Akenten Appiah- Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development, to pursue a four-year programme of study leading to the award of a B.A. Social Studies with Economics Education certificate. 2. The University reopens on a date to be communicated to you. 3. Your Applicant Number is 10195828. 4. You are required to pay a non-refundable provisional fee of One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Twenty Five Ghana Cedis (GHC 1,825.00) for the 2023/2024 academic year. If you do not have adequate funds to make full payment, you may pay a commitment fee of thirty percent (30%) to secure your admission as soon as possible and pay the rest before the University reopens. 5. Pay the fees at any networked branch of Zenith Bank, GCB Bank, Ecobank, UBA or CBG Bank if you accept the offer of admission. At the bank, please inform the teller you are paying the fees into AAMUSTED account using the NEW AAMUSTED Information Support Systems (AISS). Your application number should be quoted on the pay-in- slip. 6. You are affiliated to Opoku Ware II hall. The University has limited vacancies for accommodation on campus for interested students. Kindly contact the Hall Manager if you wish to be considered for accommodation. You may also wish to make your own arrangements for accommodation outside the University Campus. 7. Your admission is for the 2023/2024 academic year only. If you fail to enrol or withdraw from the programme, you forfeit the admission automatically. You will be required to complete a fresh set of application forms if you intend to be considered for admission in a subsequent year. 8. You will be required to adhere to ALL rules and regulations contained in the Students Handbook. Students are on probation for the duration of their studies and they could be dismissed for unsatisfactory work or misconduct. 9. It has to be noted that the University is a secular institution and is not bound by the observance of any religious or sectarian practice. As much as possible, lectures and examinations would be scheduled to take place within official working days, but where it is not feasible, lectures and examinations would be held on other days. 10. The University reserves the right to revise its fees and other arrangements without prior notice, and this letter may be corrected or revoked if a mistake is detected or if it was issued in error. 11. Online delivery of lectures or tutorials and assessments may be used to support the traditional face-to-face approach. You are therefore advised to have a device which is compatible to such an arrangement. Please note that, this is a Full-time Programme. 12. Please note that if it is discovered subsequently that you do not possess the qualifications by virtue of which you have been offered admission to the University, you will be withdrawn and made to face appropriate sanctions. The original copies of your certificate(s) and other supporting document(s) will be inspected to complete your registration. 13. A change of programme is NOT POSSIBLE after payment of fees. 14. It is required that you are declared medically fit at the University Clinic. Arrangements will be made for you to obtain an x-ray photograph and be medically examined by the University Medical Officer during the first semester.
